This stuff is wonderful and actually does what it's advertised to do.
My husband and I build props out of Styrofoam for a theater group and for Halloween props. We use Hot Wire Foam Factory's products to make them durable. This really is amazing stuff. We primarily use the Foam Coat, Boost, and Bounce. These things actually perform as advertised, which isn't as common as it used to be. On top of that, the company has a bunch of YouTube videos to help you figure out what you need for your project and how to use it. We stumbled across their vendors at a Halloween convention in 2013 and bought a starter kit out of curiosity. We made headstones out of regular cheap Styrofoam and used these products to coat them. They've been used outdoors for three years now and are still in perfect shape. I highly recommend the Foam Fusion adhesive as well. We have tried several different things which have either not held well or have noted the Styrofoam. The Foam Fusion is amazingly strong and doesn't damage the Styrofoam in the slightest.

Three Stars
Works well on 3D printed materials.

Styrofoam art
Great for protecting carved Styrofoam from crushing and to stabilize for painting. It gives very little protection from rough contact and is just for display purposes.

Flexible Acrylic Paint Additive FTW
We first used this stuff as an additive to Hot Wire Foam Factory's Foam Coat product for use on EVA costumes. We came up with mixed results with that application but since discovering this product it has become a mainstay in my studio arsenal. I have never found a water-based acrylic additive that provides such an excellent level of flexibility without wear and tear to the paint layer. We've even used it as an additive to acrylics when painting latex masks. Every costumer should give this product a go wherever they need to add flexibility to their water-based paints.
