Exact replacement.
I guess that a temperature regulating valve costs this much. It was an exact replacement so I was going to pay that much for installation ease.

Union joints on the valve are awesome
The mixing valve worked great and the water temperature was well controlled.The union joints on the valve really makes the installation much better. Trying to get a screw in fitting to end up at the right place is almost impossible.

Well worth the cost!
I bought this last december after the cheaper brand I bought for under $50 just gave up and the mixer stop working, so we were left with cold water during the winter for about a month (a time combination of cash flow, delivery, and installation). Don't be el cheapo like me, or you may just find yourself spending more money in the end. For things like this, it's very important to go with the better quality and have your peace of mind. If quality is what you seek, then pay the price, coz cheaper isn't always sweeter. I surely learned the hard way.
