Crucial for Walking Boot Balance—Reduces Strain and Keeps You Moving
If you’re in a walking boot, the EVENup Shoe Balancer is an absolute must. It levels out your stride, reducing hip and back strain that can come from uneven gait. Easy to strap onto most athletic shoes, and it stays secure even during longer walks. I’ve used it during my Achilles recovery, and it’s made a huge difference in comfort and compliance. Smart, simple, and essential for anyone navigating post-op mobility.

Saved my spine, my sanity, and possibly my marriage!
Listen. If you’ve been sentenced to “da boot” like I was, stop scrolling and just buy this thing. Yes, $36 feels like a small betrayal during an already traumatic time (you’re injured, uncomfortable, and one leg is taller than the other), but this little miracle worker is worth every penny. Before I got the Even Up, I was hobbling around like a pirate with a peg leg, throwing my body out of alignment like I was auditioning for a role as "Human Pretzel #3." Within one day, my back was screaming, my hip was confused, and my quadriceps had filed for divorce. I genuinely didn’t think I could survive four weeks in a walking boot without needing chiropractic intervention or a personality transplant.Enter: the Even Up. It straps onto your other shoe like a humble little foot savior and lets you adjust the height to match your boot, so you can finally walk like a normal, semi-functional human again.Do you still clonk the boot into door frames, table legs, and the occasional innocent bystander? Of course. You’re still part Transformer down there. But you’ll be walking evenly, pain-free, and with significantly less grumbling.Bottom line: This isn’t just a shoe lift. It’s a lifestyle upgrade for the unevenly hobbled. 10/10 I would limp again (but only if I have this thing)! Truly a life saver!

Actual Life Saver
I’m currently on my third Evenup, and I can’t overstate how much this product has helped me. I’ve walked about 75–100 miles in each unit, mostly outdoors on unpaved roads, uneven terrain, and the occasional rainy, muddy mess. The construction is surprisingly sturdy and holds up well for most of its life. However, once significant wear sets in, the last 10 miles go fast. I recommend replacing it at the first sign of major deterioration to avoid having to walk on a broken one.I’m recovering from a distal 5th metatarsal fracture and still working full-time on my feet, in a walking boot, for 10+ hours a day. The Evenup has been crucial for keeping me balanced and preventing the hip, back, and knee strain that comes from walking unevenly. It hasn’t made me faster, but it’s made walking possible, and that alone has kept me from falling into a sedentary spiral and getting fat again like I did after a past injury. This product quite literally kept me moving, working, and sane. It may not last forever, but it’s worth every penny.

Good for temporary height when using a medical boot.
The product works to help balance out the other leg when using a walking boot or when you need an additional support for unbalanced hips. The reason for 4 stars is due to catching my foot on the tip of the toes. The product started to come unglued and if I didn’t pick my foot up correctly, I would catch the front of the toe area and stumble a little. Good product, just wished it stayed together a little better.

Great for balance
I have used this product for the second time after breaking my left leg. Being in a cast and being uneven at an advanced age. I immediately put the device in my other shoe and they offer three different soles that you could mix and match to obtain the desired height. I was very pleased with the functionality and quality of the device. It was easy to attach to my shoe and made walking so much more comfortable. I would definitely recommend this product.

Even-Up Shoe Balancer – Better Gait, Pain Relief, Must-Have with Cast, Boot or Crutches.
I highly recommend this for anyone in a cast, walking boot, or using crutches—even if it’s only for a short period of time.As someone with a fractured ankle, I didn’t think I needed this at first. But within just a few days of using crutches while waiting for my prognosis, I noticed persistent pain in my hip from the uneven gait. Once I started using the Even-Up balancer, the difference was immediate. It leveled out my stride, reduced the strain on my hip and lower back, and made moving around much more comfortable. If you can swing it, get two. I generally wear Skechers slip-ons outdoors and moccasin slippers indoors. I sized in between and probably should have gone with the next size up—it fits a little tight on the shoe. Not a big deal, but it does make switching between shoes less convenient. This simple product makes a huge impact. It’s a small investment that can prevent a lot of additional pain while you’re already dealing with an injury.

This is a must if you have a walking boot even if you are still using crutches
I was on crutches and wearing a walking boot which tends to be higher than a regular shoe. I did not wait until I was off crutches like some do when they are walking in the boot. I bought this while on the crutches as i was beginning to heal and putting my foot down more.It was a perfect fit for my shoe. Use the Size chart provided to make sure you are getting the correct size for the show you are wearing. They even tell you how to measure your shoe. There are different thickness options and height options by using the included pads in different combinations. It definitely made a difference for me with any hip pain when I would stand to put weight on both feet, my legs were even and hips were even. There wasn't any strain on my back when I was able to stand at the sink and wash dishes without the crutches. This is a great quality, the straps stayed on tightly and didn't slip. The bottom is constructed to last, it didn't wear down or split at all. The straps stretched easily over my shoe.
