Mucros Weavers Irish Flat Cap Men Trinity Tweed Hat Driving Cap Made in Ireland

I posted this same review for three different Mukros caps I bought at the same time,Just diff patterns.-----------------I bought several of these as gifts for my Son, Dad and myself.I first looked at BostonScally caps after being blitzed by all their adverts. Some of their patterns are trendy I guess, but upon seeing their craps, which are made from a Poly/Wool blends, and in China, I bailed and said there has to be some good Irish &/or English caps out there....I shopped around and found Mukros, just one of many quality Irish brands.Not going to lie, I like some of the designs at Scally, but the fact that I can get Irish made, 100% Irish wool for the same price, and somtimes even a little less, I will buy the Irish made everytime, and I did, three times to be exact.My family were in the clothing business, with Dad (Master Tailor-Sicilia) and mum (Seamstress/Dressmaker-Dublin), making custom suits and dresses throughout their lives. Living in this environment makes one critical of fabric and assembly, pattern matching and that sort. I can say the fabric is gorgeous, and the fit and finish is lovely. The pattern match is spot on. Some of Scally caps the pattern match is way off on their ""Models". Model garments should be their best stuff, and they look like it was made by a 1st year apprentice. JMO.The cap itself is made so nicely, my dad has worn his Tweed pattern everyday since getting it at Christmas. Ive worn mine, blue/blk tweed, about half that time, and I have gotten so many compliments. I am certainly interested in getting a few more of these in varying colors/patterns.

Fits true to the sizing guide. Quality construction. Nicely lined. Trim cut. The material is finer gauge than expected. It is quite dressy and not too heavy for summer.

I was wary of ordering a size large because I'm usually XL in other hats. The size chart was spot on accurate. I'm very pleased with the fit, comfort, craftsmanship and 100% wool.

Ordered a med. because I have a med. sized head and it fits great. Nice material and looks like I paid a lot more for it. Would recommend.

Warm and stylish ,size does matter

Xl was bigger than other XLs in other brands. But very nicely made. Nice lining and beautiful hat.

This hat was a gift for a family member and he is very happy with it. The green is a great color and the quality of the hat is very nice.

May buy a different color to boot!
