A great addition to my pitman arm collection
I'm hoping to have the National Pitman Arm Museum open some time in 2022. I had planned on opening it to the public this year, but with coronavirus, I've had a tough time getting a few critical pitman arms for the collection. This Jeep pitman arm is very impressive and now I have both OEM and drop pitman arm styles for display. Thanks Amazon!

Good way to go back to stock
It’s a good way to add A stock pitman arm to a Jeep YJ. I went from a 4” lift kit with a drop pitman arm and went with this product for a 2.5” lift kit. it worked out in my favor.

This is a 1976 Ford truck part.
I am using this on a 1961 Corvette which uses a1976 Ford F-150 power steering box. The steering was a little too slow 16 to 1. I welded a 1 inch spacer after cutting this part into. The ratio is now about 14 to 1. Much better. Ray

The item said used but it looked like a brand new part someone else returned
Fit 1990 yj wrangler 4 cyl with manual trans perfectly. Had to use a big torque bar to tighten down the nut all the way. The item said used but it looked like a brand new part someone else returned. I trust the used parts amazon sells.

Junk
Like the majority of Crown and Omix-ADA stuff, this part is no good. I think it gets such perfect reviews because it fits in place. However, I doubt people are going back and looking at it again which they should.Mine will not retain pitman arm nut torque. The material of the pitman arm is incorrect and it has allowed the keyed hole to stretch. As a result, the pitman arm increasingly climbs the steering gear box shaft until the nut is loose again. This results in the nut eventually bottoming out on the gear box shaft and eventually no longer being able to tighten the pitman arm nut at all.I decided to purchase Mopar #52038337 which is the pitman arm for a Wrangler TJ. This is not the OEM YJ part but will work perfectly in place of a YJ pitman arm and will not wear out like the Omix-ADA arm does. I would highly suggest NOT buying this one. This is a recurring problem if you do some research on the forums.
