I was looking for a halfway decent torchier to help with staging our house for sale, so I wasn't wanting to spend a lot of money. I feel like this item is overpriced, but that is not to say it is 'cheap.' I've seen a comparable item listed nearly half the price, but it was defective out of the box and sits here now waiting to be returned.This lamp arrived undamaged.The bronze finish is simple with zero embellishment.The shade is glass and smaller than one would imagine, about the size of a dinner plate. However, the measurements are right in the description, 13". The shade is a nice warm hue, but it does not diffuse light well enough. There is no transparency, but you can clearly see a center of light that, depending on your bulb choice, may be a bit too bright. (For my taste, I like no greater than 40w or equivalent in any fixture in my house. I did try a 60w bulb first; The light it cast was pleasant, but the bulb itself was just too bright for the shade. This is a personal aesthetic preference, of course.) Perhaps and uplight bulb would be a better accompaniment for this lamp.The assembly is easy. The pole is broken down into 4 sections that screw directly to one another, as opposed to having a separated threaded ring between each section. The base attaches with the same threading, and the shade is secured with a threaded plastic ring.The base is heavy enough to keep the lamp stable.The gist is that this is a decent lamp, but definitely disposable. I can give it a good rating for what it is.

This lamp is of good quality and gives off a warm light

This torchiere lamp is a simple but beautiful variation on the normal and boring look of most bargain basement torch lamps sold in places like Target. The real glass alabaster shade is very nice, too vs. cheap plastic shades. And all that at a very reasonable price! Very pleased I found this lamp!

VeryNice silver tone lamp love it

Very pretty, 70 inches tall. Glass is nice. Takes led 3way. Cord is a bit short though. Most lamps, especially floor lamps have longer cords. Yes I pulled it as long as I could. Only 4 feet from base.

We bought two of these for our living room but had to return them. The assembly should have been straight forward but the threads in the pole were not uniform. There was no way to screw one pole to the next. As carefully as we tried, they would strip if turn even one full turn. Additionally, the thread portion on one of the poles was set at an angle; if you were able to screw it in the pole would be tilted. We are very disappointed. I think you get what you pay for but these were unusable.

This lamp looks very nice and is of great quality. It takes a 3-way bulb so you can control how much light you wish to have. The base is solid and the lamp is sturdy.

Satisfied except the original light bulb isn't bright enough, have to replace it with a 23W LED light bulb.

Came quickly and easy to put together. Look very nice

Easy to install. Length cannot be adjusted as all parts of the pole is connected through the electrical wire. NO BULB included. Corner of Base has a dent. Overall, not worth the price, a bulb should be included - bulb is extra $23; total cost for a basic lamp is over$100
