Laurence King Alice's Wonderland 1000 Piece Puzzle

The World of the Tudors is a giftable, good quality puzzle that is fun to put together in a group. With two beheadings, a burning at the stake, numerous members of royalty and other historic figures, it also sparks some discussions. A few false fits kept it challenging, as did an edge piece that wasn’t found until the puzzle was nearly completed. When sections were put together, it was difficult to keep them together and move them into place, but this may be at least partially due to the card table’s surface.The included poster of the artwork was much appreciated, as was the guide to the identities of the people depicted.After purchasing The (much gentler) World of Jane Austen as a gift, I took my time considering two Laurence King puzzles for myself and the bright colors, variety of settings, and large number of characters (including Shakespeare) of The World of the Tudors made it an easy decision in the end.

Really lovely picture, and great quality puzzle. Excellent gift for someone who's a Tudors fan. On the back of the poster in the box, they also include a key to all of the references that were drawn, which was really awesome.The puzzle has a really nice soft matte finish. It's very similar to Apple's packaging if you're familiar with that. It does, however, leave the sensation of a residue on your hands sometimes. The pieces fit together well. They are cut with your standard tabs/blanks pieces. It's not the most challenging puzzle because of the design, but it's still a fun one to do.The puzzle box is really nice quality and has a very mild linen finish. On the edge, they have each of the characters drawn out and labeled. The box itself doesn't have the same finish as the puzzle pieces (linen versus soft matte). It also doesn't have the full picture on the box; however, the poster insert does if you want a guide to go off of. Alice's Wonderland is an absolutely adorable and fun puzzle. The illustrator is amazing, creating a beautiful, clever piece of artwork. This is my 5th Laurence King puzzle, which I find to be of exceptional quality. Stay with the Tudors, Shakespeare, Brontes, etc. and avoid the Agatha Christie puzzles which are very dark in color and full of ugly people.

This puzzle company uses two different factories to produce their puzzles: one in the Netherlands, whose puzzle pieces are high quality cardboard with a premium waxed linen finish, and another factory in China, whose pieces are thin cheap plastic. The only way to tell is to read the back of the box where it says either “product of Netherlands” or “product of China,” otherwise the boxes are identical. If you get a Netherlands made one, these puzzles are great fun and a pleasure to put together . The Chinese ones are junk.

Excellent quality puzzle!

This was my first puzzle by Laurence King and definitely will not be my last. This was puzzle perfection. The pieces reminded me a lot of JUMBO but even better quality, sturdy, nice thickness, absolutely defect-free. The image was gorgeous and the puzzle felt like it just put it self together. The puzzle came with a HUGE poster with tons of information and explanation of all the items in the puzzle on the backside. Even a novice puzzle will do well with this puzzle as the colors are well-defined and there are many great colors and patterns to work with. This would be an exceptional gift for any puzzler you know. I highly recommend this one.

High quality. Low to medium difficulty especially when compared to their “World of” series. Waxy texture similar to Cloudberries without the linen imprint. Standard ribbon cut shapes but a majority of them are 2 ins 2 outs. Very colorful and whimsical. Some pieces stuck together and a couple of tabs were delaminating. Medium to high ability to move small to medium sections without crumbling.

Can't figure out how this puzzle (and similar ones of the same brand) go so many terrific reviews. While the puzzle image is nice, and the lines are clean (i.e., images not blurred), the pieces themselves leave a whole lot to be desired. They are terribly thin and brittle, a far cry from my favorite brands, such as Ravensburger and Schmidt. Also, because the pieces are so thin and brittle, they are hard to pick up. I ended up sliding the pieces to their proper spots.And don't get me started on the image on the box and the oversized poster. The image on the box is not complete on the front; to see the entire image on the box cover, you need to turn the cover around on its edges, where the image is continued, wrapping around the sides. The poster is so huge (23" x 16.5") that it's totally unwieldy. But because of the way the image is portrayed on the box, it's almost a necessity to use the poster. I got halfway through building just the frame, and I tossed everything back into the bag.This one's going back to Amazon.

Wunderschöne Zeichnung mit tollen Farben. Mit so einem Puzzle kann man auch Neulinge beglücken oder Leute, die zu mehreren an einem Puzzle arbeiten wollen. Durch die Aufteilung in einzelne Farbhintergründe gibt es schnell viele Erfolgserlebnisse. Die große Vorlage, fast so groß wie das Original, erleichtert zusätzlich das Zusammensetzen und ist auch noch eine visuelle Freude.

This was one of my favourite puzzles to work up. Good quality and an unusual illustration.

I've recently become interested both in the Tudors and jigsaws, so it was a no brainer to buy this. It's beautifully printed with very attractive colours and great quality, both the box and the pieces. Included, is a poster, which helps you locate items on the picture as there is lots of detail. On the back of the poster is information about the Tudor period and people and places Included on the puzzle. I really enjoyed completing this jigsaw. I have three of the Laurence King puzzles and they are all beautiful quality. I would recommend them for yourself of a gift for a jigsaw lover.

Not really challenging but adorable! For those who are fond of Tudors and those who are not. There is a poster with historical explanation for each character (very nice surprise indeed). Perfect qualities and colors. Worth every cent:)))) highly recommended
