Lovey to look at but no use as a mat
This is a visually lovely rug. But practically, its as good as useless, for me. As a hand woven item the Indians dont tie off or seal any ends, the fabric - ex womens saris - has no fabric protection. This is litterally the raw product. I placed on black slate tiles in front of bathroom sink. Slate is bloody cold on yr feet; within a day the ends had all popped up, both sides. I dread to think what washing the mat would do. My friend now uses it as a throw on her daughters sigle bed. Looks nice. Maybe its not meant to be walked on? (=^ェ^=) 🐾🐾

This rug is beautiful, very vibrant in colour, just what I needed to liven up my entryway. Few loose strings but nothing more than I would expect in a handmade rag rug. Also, it shipped from India to Newfoundland, Canada in three days. Wow.
