DOD LS330W Full HD Car DVR w/WDR Technology G-Sensor (LS300W Upgrade)

I purchased this for my uncle who wanted it for insurance reasons during his long distance truck driving in the US. I did my research on dash cameras and found this to be the best one for what I wanted to spend on a camera. I looked at picture quality(night and day), performance, storage, and easy of use. So far I have no complaints. This Dash Camera is amazing. I was able to set it up in my car and have it running in minutes. I needed to make a few setting adjustments for date, time, and sound after the first drive but this little camera is great. The picture quality is amazing for such a small device. I also ordered a 32GB ScanDisk Ultra Micro SD class 10 card for this and I see no performance issues. I need a few more days of testing, on longer trips and at night but think it will be fine. The suction cup holder is sturdy and keeps the camera in place, something he needs in a big rig. After reading other reviews that the instructions are terrible but I didn't bother with them. Someone did post a link for better instructions. Its really not that complicated once you navigate around. Once you connect it to the computer it says mass storage, you click enter and it connects 1..2..3 I had video of my drive to work and my co-workers and boss were amazed at the picture quality. This seller was great, item arrived lightning fast....A++

Internal battery dead.That reason for big problem with that cam

Although the camera is functioning well and the quality of the video is excellant, I think there is room for improvement with DOD the manufacturer. I ordered the product on July 22nd and only received it on September 2nd after numerous emails. this camera has extremely poor instructions. The camera is advertised as having a parking surveillance mode and a motion detection mode but I see only a motion detection mode in the menu selection and nowhere is there an explanation as to how it works. It pretty much is delivered in box with a minmized info card that should also say on it. Her's the very basic stuff ...figure out the rest yourself!

shipping took to long,did not know it was still in china.will not buy again

Didn't give it a 5 star due to lack of parking mode and not being able to see the license plate # of the car in front at night (overwhelmed back reflection.). They need a masking feature or lighting reduction on this camera to correct this problem. In order to see it, I have to turn off the head beam for a short time.

I have bought and used ESKY EC170-08, some "HD portable DVR with LCD" by evolution world wide, and another one from Zetronix. this one is far superiour. Nighttime you can actually see cars and plates where the other cameras were worthless at night. This one is far easier to use and works flawlessly.Update: after 2 and a half years the camera is still working. Love the high dynamic range of the video. Only improvement I can think of is wider angle of view -- this one is good but can never have too much field of view. Although the battery is obviously trash since after you turn the car off the camera goes on and off for a few seconds each until it slowly dies. This is a dashcam and only needed when the car is on so it is not a problem for me. Found a new battery on ebay for 8 bucks going to try that.

One of the best things I've ever bought as a truck driver this is to cover my butt. The dod 330 is very easy to use holds up in the heat very well. It has an easy menu I see now why this dash cam was at the top of the list in reviews. Well worth the money for what you get.

Camera arrived way sooner than what the estimated time was; like 3 weeks early, but that is alright by me. The instructions (paper) are translated from honkaneeze to English and they are very confusing. You almost have to know the camera functions already, before you start to set it up. The quality of the picture both on the camera and when downloaded are excellent. I am still trying to figure out all the attributes of the camera. If you know someone who is camera knowledgeable, I suggest you get them to help you. My daughter is pretty good on this kind of stuff, and we are still struggling.
