One thing to know up front is the Perlini Home system uses a non-standard cartridge size (16g) rather than the more common and cheaper 8g. The material included with the system indicates an adapter is included but one is not in the current shipping product. I found one online for $8.99 US. If you follow the directions as written your drink will be lightly carbonated. If you like more carbonation add some C02 before you shake, then give it a good shake, and add some more. Regardless will not "highly carbonate" your cocktail to the point of a seltzer water - more like the small bubbles of champagne. It is not a "universal improver" and there are some types of drinks where it works well for (e.g., Negroni) and others not so much (old fashioned). CO2 increases the acidity of the drink and changes the mouthfeel so recipe tweaking is sometimes necessary. In general it seems to work better for sweeter drinks and less well for spirit forward ones. I highly recommend it for making an Enrico Pallazzo cocktail. I am happy with my purchase but it required an investment of more effort than I expected when I bought it.

I was hoping this item would carbonate water as well and the level of carbonation is just not enough. Good for cocktails as advertised but not juices and water.
