Teleflex 18-7944 Fuel Water Separator Filter, Original Version, Medium

Industry standard. Does what it’s supposed to at a fair price.

Easy to install. Fit was perfect. I like Sierra filter quality for the money. I will definitely buy this filter again.

I have always used these on all of my boats. They seem to be made of great quality, I have never had any problems with the paint peeling off of the out side of the filter if the fuel get on it during the installation. before selling my last boat, they had been installed for roughly a year, and were still holding up very well. I was surprised that they still looked so good after being in a boat with a wet hull (inboard motors that the shaft seals drip to cool them underway), that sat in the marina year round. When I sold my last boat, these filters had roughly 80 hours of run time on them, and were used in a system with twin 5.7L MPI captains choice crusader motors. I have recently installed these on a boat that I have just purchased. This current boat is a Glacier Bay 2680 with twin Yamaha outboard motors. I have about 15 hours on them since they were installed, and the motors run great, and don't seem to have any issues pulling fuel through these.

It would be nice to see a drain port in the bottom of the filter, easy to drain if bad gas is detected. Thanks
