It's not great, but it kind of does the job
The ArmorAll ADC2 - 1004 BLK Rear View Mirror Dashcam is just OK. It's not great, but it kind of does the job.Pros - easily straps to existing rear view mirror and extra long power cord means you'll have no troubles connecting it to your power source.Cons - It seems to start and stop recording at it's leisure, not actually when the car is in motion or not. After one night of driving, noticed huge gaps in recordings. Also, many of the recorded video files were corrupt and would not play. Having a maximum storage capacity of 32GB is quite limiting, and means that this device may not suit professional drivers well. Finally, recording at night produces a low quality image, and is quite disappointing. All in all, for the casual driver, this is not a bad option. For anyone who drives often at night though, or drives professionally, this device doesn't quite measure up to the needs of the driver.

Works okay, but the display is too small for me to see clearly and it doesn't stay charged unless you keep it plugged in.

Charger does not have enough power and causes problem with camera.
Update !!!!! Do not buy it. Exactly two months and the camera stopped working. I can not even return it now. Trash !!! Display was freezing. Nothing was working. I could not figure out what was going on. Finally I unplugged it from charger and it worked. I could change options on menu. When I connected camera to charger again it started to freeze again. I decided to plug it to my computer and it worked. So I thought it was cord but after trying different chargers I found out that charger was to weak. I already had cord nicely placed in my car so I cut off the charger and I fixed USB plug to it and I plugged it to the charger that worked with it. In general camera is good if you just want it to record what is in front of you. It is not very wide angle. Good for daylight and at night with lights around. On highway at night I could see quite enough. In dark places you will not see a thing. In general good for proof in case of accident and that is what I need. The company ARMOR ALL did not even respond to my email.

I get it's 20 bucks, but technology has left this camera in the dust and so should you.
tl;dr - This camera is obsolete and not worth the money. Unless you want a 20 buck mirror extender.I've had this camera for a couple years now and I wouldn't buy it again. It's not horrible, but it's not good.Product claims it has a battery, but I've found that only lasts about 90 seconds if I'm lucky and wait for a full charge. But whatever, it's meant to be plugged into the car's power supply anyway so I hooked it up and set everything the way I wanted it to record.I have a larger SUV and bought this because the claims of the camera aperture being able to rotate. It does rotate, but not nearly enough given the size of the ball mount it's on. The effect is that I either turn my rear view mirror and cut off my rear left view, or leave the mirror alone and cut out the front left side of the road. Strike one. When I want to review footage I have to use the janky controls underneath the mirror. I'd rather they stuck them on the back with a real d-pad instead of a linear buttons. Strike two. When you finally get to the video you want the screen is super small and takes forever to load and is set back into the mirror. If you were in an accident and needed proof for a cop it is going to take a long time to hunt it down and play it on this thing. And assuming it's obvious enough from the tiny screen what happened. Sure you can pull the card and put it in your laptop, but what's the point of buying a dash cam with a built in screen if I have to carry around a laptop too?I've had this for a couple years and drove past a semi that caught fire and went to pull the video from the cam. It had stopped around 3 months earlier. No error code, no warning. Strike three. In fact, the only reason I have had it as long as I have is because my stock mirror is so small. I'm looking for another dash cam that feels more post-2005.

Don't gamble your safety with this camera
Got this as a gift and right out of the box the issues started. The nice rubber holders you use to attach this mirror to your existent one were replaced by two extra long and rather unsightly velcro straps, even though all the pictures online and ON THE BOX show the more discreet rubber loops; up until that point I was bummed out but nothing else, that was until I unpacked the 12v charger to find it separated into three pieces (as you may know, the 12v charger is a solid unit that does not allow for any assembly,) so that right there meant bad craftsmanship; thankfully, I had an extra micro USB cable and was able to plug in the camera. Now to the camera itself:The quality is not the best, it's ok to record an event that happened in front of your car, but don't expect to be pulling license plates from the video. The camera lens is not too wide, so things better happen right in front of your hood or you might just miss it.Night time footage is quite dark and grainy, nothing to write home about. Many files, when tried to be played on a PC, were corrupted and would not play, not something you want to realize after you've been in an accident.I'm shopping around for another camera, because this one is definitely not worth the money.

Camera totally out of focus and quirky.
Got one free with a radar detector purchase. From the first power up the thing was so out of focus I could not identify anything on the screen from my hand held out in front to a tree in my yard. It also was quirky going through the menu, shutting down arbitrarily several times. Glad it was free.....going out in the trash tonight.

Desechable
