Had to come back and completely change my review on these. My initial thoughts on these speakers were that they were just not that great... they seemed to distort and lacked a full range sound. Fast forward after a good month of listening to them and comparing them to other speakers that I bought to replace these speakers and in all honesty ... they are incredible speakers! After a lengthy break-in period ... they just started sounding better and better! Disclaimer: They are not a very good bass speaker. You can find other speakers that have quite a bit more bass output like the Toro Tech HX6's. But these Infinity's have the best sounding tweets I've heard. Very crisp! JL also has outstanding tweets, but Infinity and JL are actually owned by the same company and are surely sharing their tech with each other. The only thing that forces me to abandon these in my car is that they only handle 55 watts. I have "grown" my system in my vehicle and am just simply in need of something that can handle more power. Up to around 50 watts these sound great.. but if you need more , you need more. These can no longer hang with my system. Toro Tech (HX6) is another option that handles quite a bit of power, sound good and a priced well. The Toro's can't compete with the Infinity's on the high notes - but they win in every other department. All in all ... these are incredible speakers that I would recommend to anyone. JUST GIVE THEM SOME TIME TO BREAK IN AND LOOSEN UP!

I installed these in the front of my 2006 Honda Element. It was an easy install that only took about 15 minutes. I previously had a pair of Pioneer TS-G1620F in the front which were only a little better than factory and sounded rather tinny and hollow at times and were fatiguing my ears after only a short time. To be fair they were only $59.99, but these Infinity's are night and day better and worth every cent. They appear to be well made, and most importantly they sound smooth and warm and pair up excellent with my 12 inch subwoofer. I also notice they are a bit louder too which makes sense due to the 93DB efficiency and impedance correction. When you're running off the deck you need every bit of efficiency you can get and these fit the bill! I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to enjoying these for years to come.

These have GREAT sound to them, but if you just put them in with the speaker adapters you bought and wire them up they won't in every vehicle. I am a Mitsubishi technician so I used these as a test to see whether or not they'd be a suitable replacement for the following vehicles: 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander (full size) Tested in all 3 cars, the sport didn't need any help in sounding good enough, other than to adjust the crossover. However, in the eclipse cross, the midrange was resonating in the door very badly (as the base model speakers do in these cars) and it was a horrible experience. The full size outlander was alright but not great overall. I had a few boxes of some new 3-layer sound deadening I was trying, NVX SDRF20. It is the same as using Noico + the 150mil foam it can be used with, except it's all one piece, no having to make the layers yourself, it also costs the same if you buy both in the same quantities. Coated the inner panels of the door with the deadening and boy oh boy did it make a difference - no more bad resonance on the mid range and the bass output was much better and tighter. They sound great when given a little help. I also added some Stinger Roadkill RKFR6 speaker rings with the added baffles behind them to make sure all was well and it was! In the end, the speakers are good if the car they're going into is also good. If you're going to put speakers into a vehicle, take the time to do it right and add all the other bits as well so you don't have to worry about them not meeting your expectations. Plus, you get all the other added benefits of doing it right as well, such as adding insulation and reducing road noise from the sound deadening. Do it right, do it once.
