Blue color shift *FIX*
First off, awesome idea by Canon. It's amazing and I love it for video. Makes life so much easier on all my lenses for run and gun stuff. However, that horrible blue tint. For 399 you'd think canon would up the quality control. But for those of you who had bad luck but really need this product, I found the fix. It's a simple matter of realigning the gear. In the picture I have the screw circled. Mark the spot on the filter part where the blue shift is gone, then unscrew the gear, put the filter case on max, then re insert the gear and screw it in. Now your max is set before the blue shift so you won't accidentally hit it anymore. For Variable nd beginners, blue shift is generally common in variables with a wide range. It seems canon chose one of these but their qc would mess up on the gear stop that keeps the nd within its useable range. With his fix, you can now use your nd safely without worry.

Great Filter
I'm really not sure why the mount adapter and Filter together cost exactly the same as the filter alone. I bought it this way just to have an extra mount, but I really only needed the filter since I bought one with the polarizing lense.

Very good, but slight over-priced
Aside for the cost of entry, this is one of those things that just needs to work as expected to be very good. The image quality is excellent and build quality is very good. The only physical thing I would change is, I would like to have a detent or friction set into the rotation wheel to help it hold a position. As it is, it is very easy to rotate. Also, the final step on the ND stop range really plays with the color balance. I'd suggest staying away from the end stop (which is somewhere around 9-11 stops). Otherwise it has VERY neutral color. The last gripe is the cost. However, it gives you something that no other system gives you so there is a value to it. You just have to decide if this convenience is worth it to you.

Extreme color cast
Not for profess use. Here are main drawbacks1) extreme color cast at Max setting2) No pouch to store nd filter when not in use3) The wheel is too sensitive to touch. Keeps on changing.

Decent Buy
Love the adapter & filter but i wish the clear filter was cheaper. If you have this and plan to shoot at night, you may find yourself doing what ive done and removing the filter and applying some kind of tape over the space to avoid dust entering. At minimum the filter seems like around 2 stops.
