Holland Independence Grill, Lp Gas

This is our second Holland Grill. The first one was not all stainless steel and the bottom rusted, but we fixed it by putting a stainless steel plate in the bottom. It was over 15 years old and still working good when we ordered this new one. the new grill is stainless steel so it wont rust. Which is good. It is a great grill. You can cook 25 very greasy hamburgers on it and it will never flare up and burn them. The one gripe I have is that it was really a lot of work to put together and the instructions were not very helpful. It came in three boxes and it took us three days to put it together. Had to resort to u tube to figure out how to install the lid. On the plus side, we called the Holland help number for some information on how to light it should the electric ignightor stop working and the phone was answered by a real person. Hallalujia. Didn't have to press 1 for English, wasn't put on hold for 20 minutes, the person spoke English and knew the answer to our question right away. Such great customer service. That will keep us always coming back to Holland. Thank you so much.

Excellent in all regards. Quick delivery. Well made. Works as advertised. Really like the one temperature feature. Have even cooked cornbread and stir fry on it, not just conventional grill foods. With meats and fish, just calculate a reasonable cook time and flip foods at halfway point. I am good mechanically. It took me 2 careful hours to assemble. Be ready and have a big work space. Some sharp areas exposed during assembly so watch out for cuts. Strongly recommend. Worth the pricey price.

We have always wanted a Holland Grill.... Now that we have one, we are extremely pleased.

The top on my unit was welded to cause a slight shift in the top. In addition the welded bolt holes for the hinges was slightly lower. The result was to try to mount the lid with the least gap on the two opposing corners. I realize this is a manufacturing defect and not the sellers fault. But for the high prices charged for the Holland Grill you expect a quality product. One of the unfortunate bad things about ordering products unseen. It tools hours of time to put this product together which ended up in me keeping a defective product. Very very disappointed with the Holland Grill manufacturers!
