Ok for now.
I trained on Auto CAD, and compared to Auto CAD, the Turbo CAD is definitely not as fluid or easy to use like Auto CAD. So many things to learn different like putting a view port in paper space to the correct scale. It took me several hours to figure that one out, and the TC Training Guide was not very helpful on some items like this one. My biggest problem is I really don't have a lot of free time to train on a different system. But who can afford Auto CAD today; eah?So I will give it a OK for now,, Maybe years from now, I'll get use to it.

Caveat Emptor - Fake, Pirated Software
To be clear, this review is for a product I got from a third-party seller (Angie Powell). I'm a student and I bought what I thought was a legit copy for a class this semester. The serial number was bogus and I couldn't register it. The disc didn't even look right. I checked the printed serial number several times and still got the same result. If I could give zero stars, I would.Edited to add: the seller (Angie Powell) contacted me with two more bogus codes and asked me to remove my negative feedback. Upon closer examination of the disc I was sent, I am 100% certain that this is pirated software because no legit place would have allowed this to get by QA. The fine print has two glaring imperfections. Microsoft is not capitalized and "TuroCAD" is listed as a registered trademark of IMSI. I've added pictures of these two tells. Plus, the print itself is low-quality and not what you'd expect from a large and reputable company.

I would not recommend this for anyone designing plastics or working on assemblies
I would not recommend this for anyone designing plastics or working on assemblies. I use it to design plastics and ultimately make an assembly with the plastic part, some electronics, hardware, heat sinks, cables, etc. The program simply does not work for this utility. It is slow, freezes often, and crashes daily. It is unworkable and causes tons of frustration.Customer service is rude, treats you as if you are stupid and using the software wrong. I have asked several times if we could do a screen share so they can check out my computer settings, but they refuse. They offer no real solutions other than just reinstalling the software...

Fuinctional and affordable
Works well with Windows 10. I use it at home to create models for stress analysis and 3D printing.

This is a very good product and the price couldn't be beat
This is a very good product and the price couldn't be beat. I actually received a newer version than what I ordered and was pleasantly surprised. I have some background with AutoCAD but really only enough to make last minute changes for a package that might need to go out that night. I run the design branch for my engineering firm and my drafters use AutoCAD but I couldn't justify holding a license myself with rarely touching the product (a few hours of time for $5-$6K is not worth it in my opinion) This has become a great solution where I can modify things as needed and have access to the DWG files and can publish a set easily if needed. I spent a little bit of time learning this software and have found some features I I prefer over the competition including anything 3D.I'm of the opinion that if an all-star drafter prefers a certain software package, then that's what we get and their productivity easily justifies whatever expense. However, for a lot of engineers or those who don't have a specific need or strong preference, this is a tremendous product and could save a company 10s of thousands of dollars.I have a very strong workstation computer which is needed for a lot of other work I do (xeon, ECC memory, Quadro card etc.) I rarely have hardware issues or anything shut down unexpectedly. I have had no issues with TurboCAD, it has not crashed yet.

A good Cad program but Autocad is easier
1. No reference books2. More difficult to learn than Autocad3. Cannot set up toolbars like Autocad

The 3d textures and colors for walls and such are lame, nowhere near realistic
Too many quirks, objects disappearing, etc., learning curve is quite for for such a complicated, quirky product. If you're into designing kitchen, bathrooms, architecture get another program. The 3d textures and colors for walls and such are lame, nowhere near realistic, no simple paint colors. Costs too much for what little it does well. Wish I could send it back and get dedicated architectural drafting programs like 20/20 or Chief Architect.

All the Professional CAD features for an affordable price.
I use CAD for hobby and have needed it for a range of uses from drawing 3d parts to plot mapping. I simply don't have the $5k to spend on autocad. Turbocad has all the features you could want in CAD but at a homeowners price, not a Business/Enterprise price.
