This set is based on those plastic tools but is made of metal, making these applicators more durable and easier to keep clean as they aren't porous like plastic.I use the small scoop (with the heart cut out on one end) the most, followed by the ball end eye massage tool. The cool metal ball helps to depuff the undereye area and you can scoop out your eye cream with the other end of the tool. The bar tool is also nice and has a large spatula on the other end that can be used both to dispense product and spread masks across the face or to mix skin care and color cosmetics.The set is a good value at $9.99. I've paid $7 for only a metal scoop of this type before!This is a useful set that any skin care lover would enjoy. Pick it up for yourself or someone else as a thoughtful gift!

The two larger tools tools have designed ends that allow dual functions; One side has a flat spatula-like surface that can spread and smoothly apply/massage lotions and creams, while the other end is specialized for massage and dealing with puffiness (spherical and curved "T", respectively). These are common designs for such tools, and manufactured very well.Although not mentioned in the product details (and these come with no instructions or user guide), they are metal alloy and can be cooled or warmed, to enhance their function. The significant other said that she'll either put the tools into the fridge for cool effect, or use a warmed towel or hot water (simply wipe the tool dry before use). Or, use a gel pack, in either heat or cold mode, and temper the metal tools. Again, she shows her cleverness and smarts.There are product sets that include the two larger instruments, priced from $9. So, this product cost at $10 is very reasonable, considering the additional third tool.The product is exactly as described and shown in the product details. This is a set of tools to apply your creams or other skin care product without having to touch them with your hands and leaving the germs behind. The tools work well for that as long as you do not do double dipping. If I know I will need more of the product, I scoop out more, and park the extra cream on the back of my hand and then use that, so my germs would not end up in the jar to multiply there. The tools are all shiny and look good. I like them
