The shovel has worked great so far for what I've used it for. Have dug a few holes while out In wilderness Where the soil is softe and work to good For a compact shovel. Tried a few of the accessories that come with it they seem to also work as designed including the sharp axe side of shovel for cutting smalle branches. Packs away nicely fits as designed and assembles relatively quickly. The listing does specify how heavy it is but did not realise the way of carrying a shovel on hiking trip. If you plan on taking it in your bag or backpack for a long walk might want to get a lighter shovel with less accessories but if it's meant to be at your campsite or emergency in your car Amazing device. I always leave this in my vehicles hatch now in case situation where I can use it.

Comes in nice carrier pouch. It is a good length and good weight. I feel that it is strong and capable of working as a full shovel. My only complaint is that there is no locking mechanism on each piece so sometimes when I use it, it will slide a little loose and I will have to retighten

I am extremely happy with this tool. It is nice to have the carry pouch with this shovel, but it will be much better if the pouch has pockets for all the sections and tools were included.

This is one of the very best values I’ve ever experienced on Amazon in my 20 years shopping here. We rough camp a lot and I was looking to lighten my load in the pack, and this amazing all-in-one cut out several pounds of gear and allowed a ton of space. It’s unbelievably well built. It IS NOT cheaply made. You can cut a tree down, saw logs, dress a deer, dig holes, speer fish, and so on. Let me put it this way. As a survivalist, this would be the one thing I would pick to take with me right after my water straw. It’s surprisingly lightweight enough to strap on your belt comfortably. You think with the weight of the package that it wouldn’t be made very sturdy. You would be dead wrong. Like I said in the title....I’m buying a bunch more to give away as Christmas gifts. I highly recommend this to anyone that back packs, camps, day trips, whatever. Heck, I even used it in my flower garden!

My husband loves it! He says it’s a lot like the ones he used in the army. It’s made out of really good material that’s vary durable. And you can even customize how long you want the handle to be.

I got this for hiking and camping in the back country. Have not gotten a chance to use it but have put it together and taken it apart . I like the additional tools in the handle . Sturdy but not too heavy and the carrying bag is nice and thick material

I am well pleased with my purchase. It is sturdy and built well. The broader shovel head will be much more effective than the smaller ones. The long handle that stores easily is also a huge plus.

Guess I should read the fine specs. Shovel received I expected it to be the size of a military type folding shovel. Will do in a pinch I hope otherwise good for the grandkids sandbox.
