Be sure to remove them from the rubber housing so that the heat-sink can disipate heat!
I bought 10 of these light bars to illuminate a twin engine room space in a marine application. They are bright, at first, for about 1-2 minutes, but permanently lose about 50% of lumen output after heat accumulates. They will noticeably smoke until the light output/heat falls off. HEAT is the issue with this housing insulating the heat-sink from proper functioning. There is an aluminum heat-sink that is sandwiched between the adhesive strip and the rubber surround. The two that I powered up out of the box melted and fell apart in a sticky mess after 5 minutes of run time. (I did not use mounting screws as this was just a test to determine mounting locations) I was able to see the design flaw at this point once all the parts were exposed. I removed the remaining 8 COB LED strips from the housings at this point to allow the aluminum heat sink to function properly. Problem solved. The lights are able to cool properly and lumen loss from overheat was significantly reduced. <10% burn-in from my visual estimation. I mounted them with a 0.25" air gap at the rear to allow air flow and they are working great. Still IP65 rated for wet environments and decent light output if they are not run in the housing and reach a state of over-temp at any point. Also avoid flexing them even though they state that they are flexible. Cheers!

Not easy to install but bright
These lights deliver a bright white flood light with a slight bluish tint. They are installed in a golf cart and have held up to high humidity and vibration. Adhesive is garbage (prepped surface with acetone) but includes two screw holes for mounting. Wires are pathetically thin (maybe 28 awg) which can be a challenge for some for installation. I soldered mine to thicker wires. They're cheap, but work and deliver good reliable light outputUpdateI purchased another set to add to the inside of the trunk of my car, the increased visibility is insane. These are not road lights people, they make good interior lights. Stop trying to make them foglamps. I still hate the thin wires, but if the installation is secure, they should be ok.

Super bright. Well-built and insulated. Very cool lights!!
Update Nov 2019: This is the second pair I've installed, and the lights burn-out after only 6 months of use! Removed one star because of that. (Still, they are so slim and flexible, that I have not found anything else as bright and easy to install. Will have to buy another replacement pair.)Superbright LED light for a very cool look on your car! Well-built. The rubber surround and backing is a bit thick but provides the necessary heat shielding for these high brightness lights. (Beware: Other similar yellow-strip bright lights do not have appropriate rubber insulation, and will burn your car paint because of the high heat when these are on).I mounted these LED strips on top of my headlamp plastic assembly, and drilling tiny holes through the edges of the rubber strip mount to fasten them with the provided screws (see pictures). This will ensure that they will stay on if/when the glue backing begins to give, even after many car washes, etc.

Work we
Bought these to wire up in my pop up fish house.... Otter wants 60 bucks for the leds, 18 feet of cord and a dimmer.... I bought 2 sets of these leds and a pair of dimmers for less than 30 bucks...My only complaint is that the wires seem fragile where they're soldered into the led... But they're cheap enough to replace if they break.Sidenote... Please don't put these on the front of your car, there is no scenario where these would be either functional for driving, or cool, by any stretch of the imagination

Rayhoo 2 pcs Set Waterproof IP67 Rubber Flexible High Power 6W 12V Flip Slim Chip COB Daylight
?High Power? lol not at 6watts I see now. Ok, these are not that bright at night I thought they would be but are decent daylight driving lights suppose. I didn't use them for that but as extra reverse lights. <SIGH> So I should have hooked them up first before I RTV'd them to my bumper. One of the light strips opening for the wire to go through was broke off and was not happy about that.
