Power Steering Gear Box for Jeep Wrangler TJ, YJ & Cherokee XJ w/Lift Kit & Large Tires

It was a perfect fit for my 2000 tj. Performs excellent and is even better than the stock gear box.

Steering box does not fit jeep xj or tj models without major mods, also once modded for install the steering linkage is shorted to its shortest setting there for not allowing steering wheel to be centered.

after new ball joints, bushings and a heavy duty steering stabilizer my 93 jeep yj with 6.5" lift and 35" tires it still wandered all over the road. then I installed this gear box and it works amazing! I can now drive with one finger.

This makes a HUGE difference for oversized tires (mine are 33x12.5). So much better than the stock XJ ratio - now my power steering pump is not screaming every time I turn the wheel. This also got rid of all the play I had in my worn out stock gearbox. Great product!Edit: I had to change my rating to one star - after less than 6 months of street driving, this became a worn out piece of trash that made my XJ dangerous on the freeway. There was approximately 4" of freeplay at the wheel. I'm sad that I wasted the money on this.Do yourself a favor, save your money, get a PSC instead. Works much better and is so far 18 months problem free.

Haa as d to run a tap through holes in pump but other then that smooth sailing so far

This steering box works well. Just make sure you get all the air out the system and your good to go. Would buy again. installed this on my Jeep XJ. I've put probably 200 miles on it already mostly off road.

Works great big difference in stock turns a lot easier
