Fantastic seat for guitar and bass players, people with large frames! Makes great standing desk stool!
WOW! This thing is built like a tank! Extremely solid construction using quality materials, very heavy (for a throne), and easily adjustable, this DW throne is absolutely perfect. I'm a bass player and needed a comfortable way to sit and play. This throne is far better than any chair or one of the uncomfortable (and cheaply made) bar stools that so often are emblazoned with an instrument maker's marque. I get ease of movement (side-to-side, up and down), and the throne is extremely comfortable on the bum with more that satisfactory and relatively dense cushioning. I'm a big guy at 6' 4", 250 lbs, and this throne fits me perfectly. Oh, the packaging was also very robust; double-boxed with plenty of additional protection inside the box, including a thick paper wrap around the base for protection. This is one of those purchases that I put off for so many years, and now I wonder why I didn't do it sooner. This is my first encounter with DW products, but it has been an absolutely stellar experience; I'll be back for more.** Two-week Update **I still love this throne after a full two-weeks of hard use. It is absolutely stout and does not rock, move, or even squeak. In fact, I've found a new use for it: I now use it as a tall stool for my adjustable stand-up desk in my office. It's the correct height to allow me to adjust the desk to a mid-level, and to encourage me to sit up properly and with a straight back, and is comfortable enough to allow me to sit for many hours in a row without getting a numb bum. This is one of the better purchases I've made in the past few years!

Very Comfortable and Sturdy
I bought this throne to replace an existing screw type saddle seat that had seen better days. As a keyboard player now in his 60's, comfort and stability were high on my list of features needed, this throne has delivered. It is very sturdy in construction, the air-lift feature makes height adjustment a breeze and gives the seat a "floating" quality when sitting for long playing sessions. The backrest (purchased separately), adds even more comfort and support and is easily attached and detached for storage/packing. Higher priced than some seats, but well worth the price!

Great Drum Throne
Very comfortable and sturdy. Best drum throne I've ever sat on. Seat is nice and large and well padded. Got a back rest with it. Very happy with Purchase.

Extremely Uncomfortable
I suppose the only reason anyone likes this seat is either 1) they’re justifying the high cost, or 2) they haven’t yet tried the tractor style one. Hands down the tractor style seat is far more comfortable. It’s not even a contest. Do yourself a favor and try both before locking yourself into this one.Happy Drumming!

My Ass is so happy. The best seat in 40 years.
My ass is so happy with this seat. SUPER SOLID BUILT. No wobble and I'm a heavy guy. Amazing how much better drumming is when you don't have to balance on a seat. The best money you ever spent. Trust me and BUY IT!

Great Throne!
Just got this delivered today. Man oh man this throne is the best I've ever had, super comfortable. Adjusting the height with the lever makes it that much sweeter!! Instead of having to mess around with the basic style thrones where you have to get off your throne and adjust it with your drum key, Super sturdy and the seat moves around freely and is quite comfortable. Thanks DW money well spent!
