I enjoyed this book as it provided a real-world view in project management in the HR Org. Written in a way that held my interest and made me want to continue on.

I found the book very beneficial to understanding HR Project Management and what roles need to be played for success.

It’s overflowing with information that is organized well and easy to understand. Vince Tuckwood offers practical advice about how leaders in HR can get their work done effectively and efficiently, manage all stakeholders involved, and be the highly valued and strategic leaders we in HR strive to be. If you’re looking to grow your project management mindset this book is for you.

Vince does an excellent job outlining the ways in which HR projects are different that other business projects. And those differences mean different approaches to project management for HR. Easy to read conversational style that feels like Vince is talking directly to you. The book also goes into standard project management topics but with an HR twist. Also contains helpful templates (and you can download electronic versions from a website). Overall, highly recommend for heads of HR and anyone engaged in running an HR project.

Vince gives readers a first-hand view of project management acumen from his years in the trenches. This is like sitting down with a trusted mentor, picking his brain and heading back to the job better and smarter than before. Written in an engaging, warm tone, this book is a thorough resource on launching and managing projects, including how to deal with the human side of project management that is often overlooked. A worthy investment!
