A hybrid sound of orchestral score, world instrumentation, and driving percussion.

Powerful Mood Music
I didn't have a clue who Zack Hemsey was until I learned it was his composition "Vengeance" that was used with so powerful effect in the movie "The Equalizer." After listening to this album I have come to understand that this is a composer who understands how music can enhance a visual scene evidenced by his experience composing for other films. Every track on this album is just as stirring as Vengeance and I am now a big Zack Hemsey fan.

Amazing Musical Score with some hip-hop mixed in
Known for doing the amazing Mind Heist score for Chris Nolans Inception trailer. Here we have more of the same beautiful and rather inspiring music from Zack Hemsey. I personally am one of those people that can't listen to, and like an entire album. But the Way along with the Balancing Act from Sadistik and Breaking Benjamin's Phobia to name a few.Originally though Zack Hemsey started to gain a limited amount of popularity for albums with Nine Leaves and then his solo album Empty Room which he produced and spit verses on. Though to my dismay this album features far much less prose. In the two songs he does spit on, they are the two of the best on the album (Title song "The Way", and "In Between Worlds")But still this a album bent towards film score and a extremely impressive in that regard and is certainly my favorite work of his yet.

🎵 Before I die alone / I will have vengeance 🎵
I love the badass song Vengeance that plays during the climactic scene in ‘The Equalizer’, and I was disappointed that it was not on the film’s soundtrack album, so I ended up purchasing this, and it was worth it.

Awesome listen
I'm not a fan of CD purchasing, good music can become unplayable quick if the disc isn't taken care of properly. Having said, this purchase was a no brainer. Like most others who have reviewed this album, I was introduced to Zack Hemsey while watching The Equalizer and became an instant fan. The album was worth the purchase without a doubt. My only gripe- I would have loved to have been able to purchase The Way in digital format.

Vengeance
I bought this song solely for the "warehouse scene" from the movie "The Equalizer." It wasn't easy to find though.Initially I assumed this song was included on the movie soundtrack and so I bought it, but sadly mistaken to see it wasn't onthere. I went to What Song.com and described the movie scene and there it was. It even allowed me to hear a sample of the musicjust to make sure. So, I entered the name of song which I now know is "Vengeance" by Zack Hemsey. I love this song!!!! I have beenplaying this song for the past hour. I know my neighbors are over me blasting it, but live a little, right;-)

Like Daft Punk's TRON and/or the INCEPTION soundtrack but better!
I found this through amazon. I didn't know this even existed! But when i did get a listen I was thrilled! The emotion and feeling of this album is unlike anything else that is popular in music. The orchestration of emotion Zack uses inspires! Strings, ambience, drive, tech but with taste. The use of words is inspiring and insightful. Through the emotion of the music and the lyrics I was seeking the film of life before my eyes.Zack on this album inspires emotion I have missed in a lot of music today. Take a listen if you have been fans of the TRON: Legecy soundtrack and/or the INCEPTION movie soundtrack. This is a home run!

Tremendo disco

A masterpiece. Hopefully not a fluke.
If you like cinematic music, you will love this. His music will be familiar to many of you through movie soundtracks and movie trailers. 'Vengeance' and the title track 'The Way are the standout tracks, but every one has soaring strings, ominous drums and lots of emotion, be it anger, grief, fear, sadness... all pretty bad emotions when I type them, but it makes for some brilliant music.A couple of the tracks (one of them the title track) feature rapping and spoken vocals that add to and enhance the music. It's wonderful. If you like Ramin Djawadi or Hybrid do yourself a favour and check this out.One warning... Avoid his latest offering 'Ronin' unless you like generic hip-hop, as all the tracks sound virtually the same and all have the same vocals. 'The Way' shows how spoken lyrics should be done. 'Ronin' just shows how boring and infantile hip-hop and spoken lyrics can be. Hard to believe they are by the same person.

Magistral
Le quito una estrella porque no lleva incluido el disco con versiones exclusivamente instrumentales. Pero el CD es un 10.
