Works for ingrown hairs!! (strong odor, but it dissipates)
I got this cream to combat ingrown hairs. I use an epilator, and no matter what hair removal method I’ve used, I always have gotten ingrown hairs and razor bumps between my waist and my knees, and a few here and there on my calves.I have tried numerous products and methods over the decades to exfoliate my skin to prevent this from happening, but most things don’t work except to use mineral oil first, then apply shaving cream (Art of Shaving or if you can’t afford that, then use Cremo). But I would still get some ingrown hairs and razor bumps. It would just be better than using no oil and cheap shaving cream or soap. So, I’ve never found a good solution. I also tried AmLactin lotion 12%. That helped, but still but enough. I also tried various acne products with 2% salicylic acid, but those were drying and ineffective. Tend Skin also didn’t work for ingrown hairs plus it’s expensive to use twice a day all over from my waist down. I saw this cream and decided to try it.This cream seems to be working!! I don’t even have to use it every day, and IT’S NOT DRYING!!!!About a year ago, I switched from shaving to epilating. This greatly reduced razor bumps, but the ingrown hairs got worse. I would pick them out, but I would damage my skin and leave scars. Over the last 43 years, I’ve accrued 5 large bumps that are scars from where I couldn’t get an ingrown hair out. They look like keloid scars to me. I’m only 52. I don’t want to keep putting these on my body, so I’ve stepped up my search for an exfoliation method that works for me.I don’t have the time to scrub my body from the waist down with a loofah or dry brush every other day. Plus, whenI tried that with a loofah, it didn’t seem to work irritated my skin, plus it kind of hurt while I did it. The loofah is too tough on that delicate skin.I’ve been epilating and using tweezers to pluck out hairs that are too short for the epilator over the last week or so while I have been using this cream. This cream seems very promising so far!!! I have experienced fewer ingrown hairs, and I haven’t used this cream every day.My only gripe is that while applying the cream to my body from the waist down, there is a strong offensive odor after a few minutes. It nauseates me just a little bit. However, the odor dissipates after applying the cream. It might need from having the jar open while I’m ailing the cream. The other thing is that this cream doesn’t seem to absorb super well. It absorbs. I don’t know how to explain it. Maybe I’m putting too much on my calves. I have very dry skin on my calves, and I’m wondering if this brand will help that. It’s funny… I’ve been using an epilator (Braun Silk-épil 9 Flex) for about a year, and while the hair hasn’t grown back finer, in many places, it’s much sparser! Or perhaps what’s happening is that phenomenon about how the hair grows in three cycles, so maybe I’m on point with my timing, finally, because my legs have been mostly hair-free for about five days. Usually, I would epilate twice a week. However, I’ve taken to running the epilator every other day to get stray hairs right away. All that to say I’m not sure what is causing this effect, but I’m pretty sure the cream is really preventing ingrown hairs. I still have some, but there are much fewer of them. Plus, a lot of them existed before I began using this cream this last week.In addition, since using this cream, I haven’t developed any new razor bumps!!I don’t know how well this works for exfoliating rough or scaly skin because I don’t suffer from that condition. However, I’ve been removing my hair for the last 43 years, and this is the best cream for preventing ingrown hairs and bumps as well as clarifying and softening the skin: my skin in my bikini area and upper thighs (that’s where I focus the application) is amazingly soft from using this cream!!My biggest challenge now is allowing the hair to grow out instead of trying to pluck out individual hairs that I can see under the skin growing in. I have very light skin, and I often can see the hair under the surface of the skin, and then I get tempted to try to dig out because I’m afraid it will turn into—or already is—an ingrown hair. I wonder if other people have experience with this.I really hope that other people will share their experiences with this cream and ingrown hairs.Bottom line: so far, it’s very promising. I’ll update in a month or two.

I think everyone who uses this will like it.
Better than prescription shampoo.

Works really well but I wish it came with a applicator tip rather than a regular cap for the bottle. I recommend replacing the top to one that can be used to apply the shampoo directly onto the affected areas.

Use with ketoconazole for scalp fungus
It took me a while to figure out what was going on with my scalp and this product helped. It provided temporary relief from itching and reduced the scaliness and bumps of the affected patches but only went so far. Then I tried using it first when washing my hair, leaving it on for several minutes, rinsing, and following with Ketoconazole to attack the fungus and leaving that on for several minutes before rinsing too. It’s still a slow process but I’m now making significant progress in ridding my scalp of the dread that’s been making my hair fall out. I’ve also found that putting a little on just the affected spots on a dry scalp and leaving on for a length of time helps the itching and exfoliation process moves along quicker, helping the antifungal shampoo work better. IMO and experience they work better together than either one alone. Spendy, but worth the results after looking for so long for anything that would work.

Yes and no
I loved the process. The bottle comes with an applicator tip, so you can apply some to any special spots that are bugging you.You do that first, then get the water right for your shower and put out your towel and clean clothes and even start the coffee. This gives the time for the full strength medication to work on your special places. Then, wet your hair and shampoo. I shampoo twice and on the 2nd go round, when I have a full head of bubbly, I use my scalp brush to comb all my hair into a pile on my head. With wet hands be certain there is ZERO shampoo sliding down towards your eyes and proceed to wash the rest of yourself. When you are 1/2 way done with your body, rinse your hair thoroughly and comb through your conditioner and then proceed with the other half of your body. This should give you the conditioning time. Just remember, unless you are using a scalp treatment, apply conditioner to your hair and NOT your scalp. Comb through with a big tooth comb and rinse thoroughly. I use that big comb to gently detangle and apply conditioner and again when rinsing to gently finish detailing. Be patient & gentle with your hair and scalp.
