Its intended use is as a core material in the transoms of power boats. Arjay’s 6011 Ceramic Pourable Compound Transom Putty has a compressive strength of over 2,900 psi & is relatively lightweight (7.2 lbs/gal). Boat manufacturing processes have improved a lot over the years, & Arjay has been there every step of the way. Our CPC is becoming the standard for boat hull transoms, where extremely high compressive & flexural strengths & low exotherm in large masses are not only required, they’re everything. Today’s transoms hold more weight & power than ever before, & failure is not an option. Repair: Rescuing Old Transoms Many older powerboats were built with plywood transoms, which eventually rot. Our Transom Pour allows repair of these transoms that’s minimally invasive, takes less time, & is ultimately more cost effective. But our customers have discovered many other uses for this versatile product: ✔Coring small parts ✔Providing a bed for mounting engines ✔Backing up two part molds ✔Repairing dry rot in transoms & stringers ✔Backing up marine hardware ✔Cyclone & separator bodies ✔Repairing worn pump housings ✔Preventing cavitation to condenser water boxes Features of Ceramic Putty ✔Fast, cost effective & durable ✔Stainless steel, concrete, & clean & abraded bronze, copper, & aluminum ✔Excellent electrical insulation characteristics ✔Repair cost at fraction of replacement cost GEL PROPERTIES Gel Time: 21 Minutes Interval: 52 Minutes Total: 73 Minutes Peak Exotherm is 130°F Please note that all returns have a 18% restock fee, so please order only the amount you need to save on the restock feeAll Returns must be done on or before 30 Days.

Fantastic product.
While this product is a little bit pricey it provided me with a perfect repair on my 1964 Sea King runabout. Very easy to use provided you have a few basic tools and it creates a repair that is super strong and will last forever. I bought 6 one gallon buckets so I would not have to wrestle that big 5 gal bucket alone and ended up with a perfect job. I had a half gallon left over that I used to fill some cracks and holes in my concrete garage floor. It's harder than the concrete ! The only down side to Arjay 6011 is that it is messy to use. Anything it gets on it is there permanently unless you get it off before it hardens, (wiping with old rags is the only method I found that worked). Like me, if you mix small batches you have plenty of time to work with it before it hardens. And don't freak out because it gets Hot when it is curing. I still give it 5 stars.

Buckets are half to three quarters full
Got 4 gallons of this Arjay 6011 and it turned out to be about 2 3/4 gallons as you can see from the picture I posted this stuff is way to expensive at $70 a gallon to be shorting people this product..Now I have to order more of this stuff to finish the job..I just hope it adhears to the cured product when I pour it on top of it. If these gallon buckets would of been reasonably full, I would have had more then enough..2 stars...Side note ..I did contact the seller waiting to hear back from them..will update when the time comes..

Used for stringers way easier than wood!
A great product for composite. used to make secondary stringers in a ski boat! cut out wood and sanded inner surface of glass than poured. amazing how pourable it is. similar to thickened epoxy. low exotherm. easy to sand with power or air. ample working time. got more than made molds with luan and wax paper and built up height as well after 1st pour.

Worked great.
Used to fill a soft portion of deck about 2x2 ft under my boat helm pedestal (I cleaned out the most rotten wood). Then was able to pour the product into empty caulking tubes and pump it into the void. Set up in about 20 minutes mixed at 2%, about 75 degrees F. Cured fully overnight. The deck is now solid, with the helm not moving around.

Excellent product
Easy to use , wish it had mixing times included with it. Easy to pour and sets up hard as a rock, and light as a feather
