Great Looking...functional...overpriced...
Great looking notebook stand. I bought it for [...] shipping. That makes it an excellent value that I could not resist. From a user point of view the stand is great, I use it on a Dell Inspiron 1545, and all ports are accessible with the stand, including the ventilation ports which some people have pointed out in other reviews.I'm a 6'2" tall man. For me the viewing angle is almost perfect. Having a wireless combo mouse and keyboard are a most unless you are only using the stand to view movies.I would not have paid more than $10.00 for 3 onz of molded ABS plastic. Logitech should reconsider the retail price for this.

Simple, Elegant and Functional
Great deal for the price (~$5). The design is simple, elegant and functional. It is a single piece of clear moulded plastic. I was a little worried at first that the angle/ pitch was not adjustable but glad to see that it has the perfect pitch for me as it raises my laptop screen just about the right height in minimizing how much your head need to tilt down to look at the screen (I am 6 ft tall). I also like the ondulated back as the curvature gives a little space for the heat to dissipate from the bottom of the laptop. The laptop sits extremely sturdy and stable. It takes a little to get used to the new angle your wrist need to bend for typing but a separate wrist rest placed along the bottom would make this the ideal set up.

Nice design but won't hold computer
This is a very nice looking holder, a little overpriced for a piece of plastic but what isn't overpriced these days. The computer sits at a comfortable angle so you are still able to use the keyboard comfortably. My problem with this stand is the design of the front edge. There is just not enought of a lip to hold the laptop without fear of it taking a leap off the desk. If you have to plug something in or adjust the screen to a different angle you had better hold the front edge inplace otherwise your computer is going to go sliding off the stand and if your not prepared for this it could hit the floor. Other that that its a very nice simple design. Just needs a little more edge holding ability across the front. I've used it with 17" Gateway and HP Laptops. Same results.

This is Okay product not outstanding. .
Well for the price I got it it is good product but I dont know why they did not give enough support at the bottom where it actually holds the laptop, the grip is very short and that makes little thiker laptop to slip over the stand. Apart from that whole body is very slipery and has very little friction that also increases the high chance of laptop to slip over the stand.Weight it is very good it is very light and over all experience is Good, It is good buy for smaller laptops.NOT at all recomeneded for laptop top > 16" may be mac 13 14 and up to 15" laptop could be better one for this stand.

This is the one to choose ... seriously
I was concerned from the product photo that the Logitech Alto Express Notebook Stand wouldn't raise my notebook high enough, so I was tempted to go for one of the adjustable stands. I am very happy I chose the Logitech. The angle could not be more perfect, the manufacturer obviously knew exactly what was ergonomically correct when they designed the stand, the center of my screen is exactly in the middle of my field of view. When in use, the stand basically disappears. Despite a ridiculously high price for a piece of plastic, it does exactly what it should, so to me it was worth the price. The adjustable stands I've seen are fussy and wobbly. In particular, the xbrand has small wheels that could send the notebook flying off the edge of the desk if it is accidentally bumped. Almost every other brand raises the front edge too high. Some, like the xbrand have trap doors you have to open to access front-mounted controls. I think many manufacturers take a simple concept and try to complicate it. That is one thing no one will ever pin on Logitech! This stand is a totally simple design. My home office is probably a bit stylish but I absolutely need functionality ... I work at my computer 12 - 14 hours a day. I hated using my notebook before, now with an HP wireless keyboard and mouse and the Logitech Alto Express Notebook Stand I hardly know I'm not using my desktop PC. I think this notebook stand is the winning entry.PROS: Perfect viewing angle, rock-solid support, looks beautifulCONS: Hey, it's a three-dollar piece of plastic with an insane profit margin, but I'd rather pay more for something that is perfect than something that misses the mark.

Excellent stand for a MacBook
I ordered this stand from BuyDirect about a three weeks ago and it is fantastic. I got it knowing that I would be getting a 22" external monitor to use with my MacBook and I didn't want to spend too much, I mean, the Alto Connect looks great, but $60? Yeah, no.The Alto Express is perfect. My MacBook looks great on it, either opened or closed and the height is perfect. I just got my monitor and the two are amazingly almost the same height, with no adjustment required. My boyfriend liked the stand so much, he ordered two for his laptops (one Mac, one Dell) and they look great. for anyone who is concerned about price, BuyDirect (at least right now) has them for like $15 shipped and that's totally, totally worth it. The plastic is smooth and well shaped and the bottom crevice is great for a MacBook. If you have an older MacBook Pro or another laptop with an optical drive in the front, it might be a slight hassle, but for anyone who has a right or left facing optical drive, it's perfect.
