Mind Candy - places I enjoy going and consistantly excellent issues worth reading. Pun on "issues".
Mind Candy at it's best. Contemporary, insightful and really worth reading. Their writers and staff consistently present a well thought out issue with themed articles offering various perspectives related to the theme. Important people in the area the issue investigates with thoughts and insights worth investigating. Reading on the tablet is excellent and you can avoid the ads if you want, or see it all. Wired has been on top of the technology and it's implications for decades and it shows in their magazine. December issue presents concepts to keep your mind busy after you have put it down. I appreciate the introductions they give me. Thanks to all at WIRED for consistently great issues!

Wired Magazine - All Access + hat
The great part about ordering magazines through Amazon.com is that you can find all your subscriptions in one place with the dates they expire. Otherwise, the magazine companies send you bill after bill and try to get you to pay your subscription multiple times. I don't know how that works, but it is darn annoying.Outstanding: As soon as I subscribed I had immediate access to Wired digital all access and was able to read Wired on my tablet and my pc.The Good: I received the hat, not as quickly. I like the hat.I'm still waiting for the magazine. It's been a few weeks. Typical waiting time for secondary magazine subscription orders to start sending the print edition. The magazine itself is outstanding and has great tablet editions.

I like this magazine and the hat was sweet (very good quality and thank you for that because it was unexpected). That said, the magazine is terrific but I spot-read it, since it's layout is too frenetic and I lose interest after awhile. I think it's a great deal for the price, but I was not at all happy with the auto renew at $25, so I cancelled. I just can't pay five and then before the subscription is out, be billed $25 for the same thing. I didn't see the value in that, but this is my personal opinion. Others may feel differently.

Ads... Ads as Far as the Eye Can See...
Wow. How Wired has fallen... Last time I had read Wired, the magazine actually kept my attention. This magazine is a collection of ads with one or two barely interesting articles sandwiched in the middle. While those articles are usually interesting, it's a travesty that you have to shuffle through near-countless ads to get to them. Even worse, a big part of the ads are native ads. So, you have to think about it for a minute before you realize it's an ad. And then you feel a little molested for it. I don't mind ads and even a native ad or two in my magazines, but Wired takes this idea to a new level that I always assumed would be reserved for the shadiest of magazines...Very disappointed. I get my new Wired in, scan through it, and throw it away unless those one or two articles seem interesting.

Best of both worlds, for the best price.
It's actually cheaper to get the magazine AND digital access. If you have an iPad, it's a no-brainer. You can read the magazine anywhere, download it in advance, share articles with others right from the app, etc. Sometimes, it's nice to hold the print edition, though. I grew up with Wired, and I still have a few of the earliest copies at my house. It has always had a great style and design, and it's nice to just flip through it, sometimes. My son loved the hat and immediately took off with it, when I got it. Win-win-win.

Great, Great magazine! Very Bad, Terrible, Horrible digital editon App.
Absolutely LOVE the print edition magazine. Great articles, well written, and extremely relevant to our generation. For such a great magazine about technology - this experience is the pits. It took me weeks to finally get it installed on my Android tablet and then freezes. It is basically useless. Which is too bad because all of my other Amazon magazine experiences are superb and I was at least hoping for something that was USABLE!

Nice temporary deal.
Good price for 6 issues (plus digital) and a hat. I won't be continuing my subscription though. I hadn't read wired in a while but had always enjoyed it in the past so I thought I'd give them another try. This mag is now packed with ads. I don't know if this has reduced the content any, but for $24 a year at regular price I don't want this many ads. If they drop the regular price I'll probably come back because I actually think this is better than it was the last time I read it. Good informative stuff. Drop some ads or drop the price. They can't have it both ways in my opinion.

Love Wired and Great Deal on Subscription
We love Wired magazine, which may be fairly ironic because neither my husband nor myself are in any way tech savvy. What I love about the magazine is the depth the writers curiosity is allowed to delve into for article topics. You see, not being young geeks isn't a bad thing but it is sometimes difficult to find the pulse of what's happening when you are actually fascinated with technology that exploded midway thru your life. Sure some of the articles are just plain fluffy fun but escapism is where we're at.
