Focus problem, otherwise quite ok for the price
I came across this projector when looking for one and thought I'd give it a shot before shelling out $1000 for a brand name "real" 1080p one.Factors I considered before buying:1280 x 720 (720p) native resolution which you don't often find in projector of this price range. Yes all of them says "support" 1080p but when you look in the details most says 800 x 480 (480p) native.LED which apparently have a longer life and higher brightness (280 lumens equivalent to 2800?). In fact I didn't find a way to check the bulb life when I actually got the projector. What's in the box:Remote control *without* batteries (2 x AAA needed)User guide in 5 languages (EN, DE, ES, IT, FR)Lens cloth sandwiched in the user guide3-pronged power cable, HDMI cable, VGA cable and composite cable, all of them about 5 feet long.Projector, which measures (roughly) 13 5/8" W x 10" D (when focus is all the way in) x 5" H (with the adjustable legs retracted) and weights 5.75lb (8lb is pretty accurate as the shipping weight). (This info seems to be missing in the Amazon listing?)Several things I noted:1. Focus problem: I can get most of the screen in focus except for the top right hand corner (about 1/4 screen height and 1/3 screen width) no matter what I do. Maybe it's just that I got a bad copy. Not a problem if you're playing movie but definitely for text it's a little annoying. They don't recommend it for text and presentation though. (See the attached photo)2. Screen is off-centered or something: I first connected through HDMI and noticed the rightmost 30-ish pixels are missing. This could be "fixed" by setting the "Focus" setting to 1 ("Focus" seems like a digital zoom to me and it ranges from 0-12 with 12 being the smallest). Although this way I suspect the pixels are not 1 to 1 anymore. (Overscan from the computer is the other way but of course neither is perfect) (See the attached photo) Notice how the cross at the bottom right hand corner was cropped.3. Fan is definitely loud, as pointed out in other reviews. It doesn't bother me though, maybe since I only played Youtube and haven't get to sit down and watch a movie with it.4. The keystone is probably not a digital one, although I'm not 100% sure on this.5. There is a very slight barrel distortion (not noticeable when watching youtube for sure)6. The speaker is loud (can't speak of the quality since I'm not an audiophile)7. Brighter colors are washed out (don't trust other reviews saying color is good for projectors this cheap)8. As I'm writing up this review I took a picture and found that there are 3 blemishes on the screen. I've wiped clean the front element but the blemishes did not go away. It's not that my projector screen is dirty, I checked. (See the attached photo) One is at the "http" in the browser URL bar, one in the Youtube search box 2/3 to the right, and the other one right below the "Recommended". By the way the other projector in the Youtube recommended section has a 800 x 480 native resolution.

Focus Issues
UPDATE: Contacted the seller, and the unit was replaced. Excellent customer service!Day 1 impressions: Purchased for the kids to enjoy over the summer, and for $99, I wasn't expecting too much. Setup was relatively easy (we use fire stick), and the controls, menu options, hand control, and fan noise are pretty good. Speakers do the job in a small room and the brightness on the screen works well in a dark room. Was able to plug in our mini Bose speaker, and it works perfectly. Fire stick got hung up during initial setup, but then worked just fine.My main issue is with the focus. The description boasts Ragu's clarity and focus, but it falls way short of expectations. Center clarity is sharp, but outer corners (especially right side starting from 1/4 of the way from edge) are always blurry. Adjusting for clarity on corners blurs the center of the screen, and that is worse. I've tried all the hints listed here and on YouTube, but I can't seem to make it work. Manual is not helpful in this area.Considering this unit will mostly be used by our kids, I doubt they'll mind the focus issues too much. We'll keep trying the unit in the next 30 days to see if we find a workaround on the focus issues, and will update here.

Like many of the other reviewers have stated
Was pleasantly surprised. For $99.00 I wasn't sure what I was going to get. My Epson 710 HD quit working and I was going to have to send it off to get fixed. So.... I decided to roll the dice, and take a chance on the Ragu projector instead of spending a couple hundred bucks to get it repaired. We use our projector primarily outside on the deck. Like many of the other reviewers have stated, the Ragu doesn't do great in the daylight, but neither did the epson for that matter. The Ragu was very comparable to the epson for what we use it for. Ill be honest, I was a little nervous after placing the order because after doing some research and searching some reviews, I found the Fakespot site gave it an F. I think they only base their ranking on the likelihood of possible false or phony 5 star reviews. I think they would raise that grade significantly if they actually tested it. Time will only tell how the Ragu holds up, but for now I am very pleased. I will say, there are definitely better projectors out there, but for a 99$ projector the picture really looks pretty damn good. (Ive got it Projecting at 100 inches)p.s. Initially i was upset after opening the box because I couldn't find any bolt holes for attaching a Ceiling mount bracket. Figured out you have to unscrew, remove and use the knobs that raise the front of the projector to attach the front part of the ceiling bracket, and pop off the rubber coasters on the bottom rear of the projector to attach the rear bracket bolts.

But it's got to be dark outside for it to look great. Possible to watch during the day
Shocking image quality for the price point. Use it all the time for Game of Thrones premiers and movie nights at the house! You can get a motorized movie screen for o nly $65 on Amazon too, making a full home theater for around $250. Unreal! But it's got to be dark outside for it to look great. Possible to watch during the day, but definitely not meant for that type of thing. As a note, my unit's fan has started to buzz horribly every 3 or 4 times we turn it on. If it gets any worse, I may have to return it.

Decent picture, fan is way too loud
The picture from this projector is pretty good, until you try to use the angle adjustments, at which point it gets blurry along either the top or bottom, depending on which angle change you've made. The fan is so loud that even with headphones on I could still hear it. Now, after about 15 minutes you might not notice it if you are playing video games or watching a loud movie, but anything cinematic where silence is an important part of the film will be broken by the fan sound. For 200 bucks you are not going to get an excellent projector; your best bet might be to grab a 40" tv and call it a day.
