10/10
I’m a 19 year old that’s been trading since the day I turned 18. Have learned and lost a lot over the past year, basically due to my poor position size/ risk management, fear, overconfidence and underestimating the complexity of all aspects of naked options trading. Combined with everyone telling me to go to college instead of trying to be a successful retail trader, it’s hard motivated. recently crashed my car and broke my spine(don’t worry I should fully recover) but it’s given me all the time to read and really learn how to trade. Stumbled upon this book and absolutely love it. It goes hand in hand with the guide to rational living. It’s been a journey to become a self sufficient options trader but your book really helped me pick apart my mind. Much love.

Helpful book relating success in trading to mindfulness.
I enjoyed the important concepts related to observing the voice in our head, instead of being the voice in our head, that can lead us to bad trading decisions. The book teaches concepts about, and points the way to, more trading and life success through mindful awareness of ourselves. I have studied mindfulness as a physician and feel that he is correct that the concepts he teaches can lead us to more success in our trading.

The essence of Trading psychology
The essence of trading psychology is a fantastic read! The deep dive into mindset management is such a crucial skill that most traders overlook. Trading is 90% psychology and 10% execution, and Yvan does a great job of hammering down concepts such as uncertainty and a long term mindset over the course of the book. Pay attention to each page and each chapter because there’s a ton to learn from this book. 10/10 would recommend!

Using Meditation to Improve Trading Performance / Results
I just finished reading The Essence of Trading Psychology In One Skill and found it very enlightening and helpful. I investigated meditation for traders and found out that most of the very successful traders we all hear and read so much about have been meditating for years to help become successful in their trading and to help improve their trading results. The book was a quick read and gets to the main idea of mindfulness and meditation without a lot of unnecessary filler or fluff information. The fact that the author trades for a living lends credibility to the subject matter and how meditation has turned his trading around. I am going to start my own morning routine of meditating before the trading day starts and give credit for this positive change to the author and his book. The only thing negative about the book is that the book should have been better proof read before being sent to the printers. Quite a few sentences with extra words or wrong words added to sentence of incomplete thoughts/sentences, however ,it's not that big a deal as the author still gets his message across to the reader. I would recommend this book to other traders wanting to improve their trading performance and results.John W.Nashville , TN .

This One is a Keeper!
This book is a keeper! As a trader, if you've ever wondered to yourself, how do I get inside my head to find out what is going on with me when I put on a trade, then this book will certainly open up new mental pathways to the answers you seek. I see a lot of wisdom in these pages which concisely delve into such insightful one liner phrases like: "Willpower is a wasting asset", "control in the markets is an illusion", "trading effectively is about assessing probabilities not certainties", and my favorite of the group; "neurons that fire together, wire together". Throughout this book, Yvan does of excellent job of making a sound and logical case for every concept and idea he discusses. There is no doubt that you will be a different trader when you put this book down after reading, and thinking about its wisdom. I guess the only criticism I have is that Yvan "borrowed" a few choice words and phrases from Mark Douglas' Trading in the Zone, and I didn't see any attribution,...but I think that Mark (RIP) would have approved with where Yvan took those words, ideas, and concepts into new ground. Also, though I'm not a fan of "Eastern Meditation", I do like the alternative techniques that Yvan offers in the book, which accomplish the same results, and I have since "learned" how to daily meditate...my own way. This book is small in size ...but very powerful in content. Nice Job Yvan!

Helpful if you apply it!
I have followed Yvan’s work for some time, and I was familiar with his writing on trading, his backstory, etc. I recently revisited his website because I have been at a fork in the road of my trading journey. Homeschooling during the pandemic made me realize how far from my goal of a relaxed trader I was. I had worked models from a 5-min to a 15-min and finally to a 30-min chart in an effort to feel less susceptible to ticks up and down. But perhaps that wasn’t really the heavy lift I needed to work on - sure it has helped - but it hasn’t calmed all the chatter. This book is a good reminder of the usefulness of mindfulness meditation, something I had forgotten through various levels of resistant excuse making.

How to revolt against your demons
It took me personally a long way to be where I am as a trader. The agony the excitements all of it I lived and weathered. Reading what Yvan writes reflects what I personally encountered and every other trader does too. And that's why every words is so personal and comforting. But what does this book actually do for you. What did it do for me? What is different from this trading psychology book to all the others?Simply put it actually makes you make the change! You walk the walk. It hits the spot and it makes you revolt against your own demons. If you are new to this trading gig you will benefit from creating a great fundamental base to move forward. You'll not fail.If you are already trading you'll get confirmation of a lot of things you already know but keep neglecting. This book will make sure you take your taking to a consistent level, monetary and mentally . The later even more important.Lastly if you took up trading for financial freedom. Yvan is offering you freedom in all aspects of your life.
