but I really wanted to say how great this product is
I have never written a review on a product before, but I really wanted to say how great this product is. I just came back from a two week vacation with my two year old and I had anxiety thinking about the sleeping arrangement. When this trip was originally planned we were going to l being the pack and play with us, but we quickly found out during a weekend getaway that our son had outgrown the pack and play so we needed another alternative as our son never slept with us in the bed before. This inflatable railing worked so well and it was so easy to set up. We had to inflate it and deflate it three times as we changed locations and it put us at ease knowing that our son was not going to roll off the bed. We had to put him sleeping on the edge with me in the middle as my husband moves a lot in his sleep and even with our son sleeping against it the railing did not move. It took about two minutes to set up and it takes up very little space in the suit case. Can't wait to use it again on our next vacation!

Great in theory- if it didn't consistently lose air.
Nice and soft if you roll on them, but not at all durable. With regular use (getting in and out of bed), my very light toddler was able to cause the seam (somewhere) to rupture. And no, we did not overinflate them at all. In fact, I feel like they were underinflated. Didn't even come with a patch for me to fix it. I did however, contact the company and they sent me a replacement.

Great for traveling or at Grandmom's for the night
My daughter and son-in-law purchased this set for their son...as he graduated from his crib to the twin bed his crib could become. The inflatable rails are perfect under 'cellulose' or stretchy sheets....not so great under cotton sheets which are often tight fitting. My grandson is protected as he rolls at night and can get out of bed easily from the foot of the bed....So, this grandmom bought a set to have on our grand-kid bed when he comes over to visit and when we travel. Great idea! Easy to blow-up...comes with a pump. But keep sharp pointed toys off the bed!..just in case!

Not Worth The Money
We purchased these bumpers for my toddler's twin bed. She has a platform bed (no box spring), so these seemed like our best option for keeping her from rolling out of bed. At first, we thought they were great. However, two months later, one of the bumpers developed a significant leak. The leak was located on a seam that would be incredibly hard to patch. Rather than attempt to repair it, we decided to return them. I would rather save my $$ and roll up blankets to place under her sheets...because chances are good that the other one will spring a leak too. This product was DEFINITELY not worth the money spent on it.

Easy to use and travel with... BUT not durable!
Heavy duty and definitely has a strong valve. The carry bag and foot pump that come with the bumpers are easy to travel with. Also the foot pump has both inflate and deflate ability. The seams are strong, we often sit on the bumper briefly when putting the kiddo to bed. The underside has a felt like material which keeps them in place under a fitted sheet. Great solution to avoid the hospital rail look and the difficulty putting up the side in the middle of the night. Highly recommended!UPDATE: 15-Aug: The seams have split on BOTH! I was hoping to repair with a simple tube repair kit but this is a folded seam and it just wont hold. I'm pretty disappointed. Never did anything but use these as bumpers and only taken on one trip. Great idea but the seams need reinforcing. My toddler is 28 pounds, so if it can;t take his head using the bumper as a pillow - I am not sure how they are going to hold up for you. It was a slow leak - found it by placing the bumper in water. unrepairable....

Works Great!
We moved my son into a big boy bed last week and chose these rails after ordering (and returning) some more traditional rails. We ended up moving my son's mattress onto the floor because we didn't feel like he was ready to be so far off the ground in a regular twin bed/box spring. He's only 19 months and moved into his new bed to make room for baby #2 who is due any day. Anyway, these rails work no matter what your bed set up is: mattress on a box spring, mattress without a box spring, mattress on the floor, etc. They stay in place well and my son sleeps great in his bed. Another thing we liked is that these rails are easily traveled with. If we need to stay in a hotel with our son, taking these out and deflating them to bring along will be a breeze.

Great product
These work great! I use these everyday at home in my 2yr old daughter's room instead of rails and they are fantastic. I have had them on for 2 months and they have yet to lose air. She lays on them and bounces around in the bed and they hold up great. They stay put for the most part. When they do shift a bit it is not in a way where they would be ineffective. They just may slide up or down a few inches in the bed from time to time. They remind her of where the edges are and I think will lead to an easy transition of no side protection at all. We use two as her bed is not against a wall. There is no smell to them and the pump they come with is very nice.

One month and it's deflated
One side still works, so for that, I give it 3 stars and I still prefer it over the railing so I guess it's just okay. Now I need to repair it with a patch. What will happen next month? Maybe I should just return it.
