Evenflo Platinum Symphony Elite All-In-One Car Seat

I absolutely LOVE this car seat. I had been searching for about 6 months after my 2nd child was born. She's freakishly tall and skinny so I knew she would need something beyond her infant seat sooner than later. Since I have another car seat in my SUV, I knew we probably couldn't get away with putting her (or her big brother) in the middle. Because of that fact, I wanted to make sure she had ample side-impact head protection if she was going to be sitting behind one of the passenger seats. The wings on the Symphony are excellent and very plush - my anxiety about her in a crash has gone down significantly! The adjustable headrest is a great feature, as I move it up all the way to make it easier for putting her in the darn thing. No matter what car seat you have, putting a kid in the car rear facing, especially once they get bigger, is always going to be a challenge. But it's worth the momentary struggle to keep them super safe while driving!I had bought 2 other car seats and was sorely disappointed because at only 1 year, she was already halfway through the height adjustments for a seat that was supposed to last until age 4-5. No thank you! I had my eyes fixed on the Symphony DLX version until I realized that it's basically a higher priced version of the LX due to the fancy LATCH buckles (which, if you use LATCH, they look amazing! My car is older so I didn't need them). Since LATCH was not part of my needs, I decided to save myself roughly $30 on the LX in Crete. The colors are excellent and match my son's Evenflo Maestro in Bradley (color I could only find at Target). That wasn't a huge selling point but it was a nice bonus. The seat was easy to install even with a seat belt, and I didn't need any pool noodles to get the right angle (unlike some cheaper models). I was actually surprised that this seat wasn't as massive as I expected in the back of my car. You could still fit another (albeit, skinny) person in the middle seat if needed.My daughter is very comfortable in this seat. She even stayed asleep in it when I took her out of my front carrier and put her back into the car! The harness is easy to tighten and loosen and the straps pull from the bottom, not at the shoulders. That takes a little getting used to but a feature that I am already beginning to love. Especially when she does fall asleep in the car, it makes the transfer to her bed a lot easier!The cup holders are nice and flexible. We don't use them too often but I like that they expand to fit those weird-shaped sippy cups and such. I also hook on some toys to the elastic band for my baby to play with. Sometimes she gets silly and puts her feet in the seatbelt guides on the sides. I love that she seems very well protected but not cramped up with tons of padding and other space-inhibiters.Overall, this is the best seat I could find on the market in its price range. There are more expensive ones out there but I now have my die hard, you-must-only-buy-$300+-car-seats friends, switching to Evenflo for their quality and affordability.

I purchased this car seat after reading countless reviews for other seats. I will say this seat is very large, if you have to put two car seats side by side without a seat between then you are not getting this in your car. Our children are 6 years apart so we don't have two big seats and this fits just fine in our Hyundai elantra. I love the padding on this seat and how I don't have to re thread the straps to adjust them! I also love love love the latch system and how easy it is to just pull the red cord to release. I was able to get this seat secured very tightly by just sitting in it with my knee and pulling the straps. I am 5'2" so i dont have a problem with the big seat...if my husband (6'1) drives his seat pushes against the back of this in rear facing. I love how deep the head rest is and I feel like it really protects my sons head and gives him a safe place to rest on long rides. The padding is thick and seems comfortable. Our son is really tall for his age and this seat has plenty of room to adjust as he grows, Right now I have it in rear facing mode and It looks like I will have more room in the back when it is not reclined for rear facing once we are ready to move it around. Easy to adjust and looks easy to remove the pads to clean.update 6/17- seat is forward facing and has been moved into our mini van. It is easy to install and I got an even tighter fit with it being forward facing. Also my son falls asleep almost every car ride in this seat !

It has little spots on each side to put the strap clip each time so when you unbuckle your child you can stow the buckle clip in the pocket provided. Then the next time you go to use the seat the straps will be out of the way and plop your lil golden nugget in no troubles. It's definitelyy favorite part. You wouldn't believe how much of a hassle that can be. Especially if your kiddo isn't cooperating with you. It's a easy install seat with multiple methods of securing the seat which is pretty standard across the board. This seat has nice padding and can hold up to wear and tear. I have had mine for quite some time now and it still looks pretty new still. Overall I couldn't be happier. It has all I need and nothing I don't and my kid seems to be happy with it.

I am NOT a baby seat expert, so I can't compare this to other makes and models, I can only share my experience with this one seat.Pros:Made in USA!!! Maybe all/most car seats are, but when I saw this it was a major selling point for me.Quality appears to be high and the comfort level seems more plush than other models I have looked at.Size (also a con). It seems large enough for our son to be comfortable in for a long time.Sharp lookingCons:I drive a Prius, and it's pretty large for a car of this size. The passenger seat needed to be moved forward 1 or 2 spots. This was for rear facing. I don't think it will be a problem for front facing.Instructions are a little intimidating, and are at times slightly difficult to follow.I initially got VERY frustrated when installing this. I had previously had an infant seat with a base and trying to finagle this much bigger piece was difficult. A piece of advice (which I'm sure 99% of people already know) is to go and buy a pool noodle to place underneath. I tried strapping down the seat and it was so loose after tightening as hard as my wife and I could. I finally contributed it to the rolled up towel we were using. The noodle provides a stiffer platform which keeps the entire seat from wiggling (as much).Again, not being an expert, I was a little disappointed to see how much it wiggles, especially the backrest. I'm still within the "1-inch" tolerance, but I feel like my previous seat w/ base was a much more rigged platform. It may be a part of the design, but I would think the more rigid the better.I gave it 4 stars because now that it is finally installed, I know it will serve our family well. I just can't give it 5 stars because of the frustration I had when installing.

Tengo el otro modelo de symphony para mi hijo mayor y decidí comprar una para mi hijo pequeño de 5 meses ya que el portabebé es muy incómodo para llevarlo en el coche como silla. Estuve estudiando entre varias marcas ya que han pasado 3 años desde la compra de la symphony anterior y quería un modelo nuevo y diferente y encontré en muy buen precio en una venta especial esta silla ($3,100) con el único inconveniente de que tuve que esperar como 3 semanas para que llegara.La silla tiene el sistema LATCH siendo muy segura y hace muy sencillo el retirarlo solo con jalar una correa.La silla puede irse modificando con el peso y la talla del niño para que les dure por muchos años. Mi hijo va muy cómodo y estoy feliz con mi compra

Como papá primerizo, primero leí varias reseñas de varios car seats y al final este fue el que más me convenció, es fácil de instalar y queda muy seguro, además la encontré mucho más barata en amazon que en cualquier otra tienda

great carseat!! I have 2 Evenflo seats for my older kids and the improvements on this chair are extremely good and now i wish i had 3 of these seats.The biggest improvement is the way you tighten the straps, the straps release from the lower support above the legs instead of above the shoulders. This makes putting in the child so much more easily. easy to install and daughter has not complained about discomfort etc.highly recommended seat.

Su sistema de sujeción es excelente, sin embargo el cojín para bebés al ser una sola pieza no permite que se dapte a bebés cercanos al año.
