I started to 'embrace the dome' in 2014, when I was Active Duty and came home after getting my weekly haircut. I was only slightly surprised that I was thin on top. The traditional (if it can be called traditional) haircut in the Cavalry was the 'Horse Shoe'. Clippers were ran close to the skin at the highest point of the head, and then the high & tight was finished off that.But, I digress.I promptly went out and bought a name-brand corded set of clippers. I have been using said clippers for 11 years. They did the job, but were showing wear - and I had dropped them enough that the case was racked and glued more than once.SO - I decided to treat myself to a high end set of clippers/trimmers. I am a wet shaver and have not been to a barber in 11 years (save for the rare hot shave because gentleman). I had my eyes on Baybliss and was waiting for a good deal - but those are rather expensive.These came up and the deal was just too good to pass up. I paid 79 bucks for this set on a deal.WHAT A DEAL INDEED!Very well made. Everything you need, including a cape and a small bottle of oil to get you started. And do they do the job right and proper. I use trimmers between wet shaves, and these did not disappoint - they impress. Right out of the box. A dab of Clippercide (best stuff ever) and I was in business. I had intentionally let the scruff grow so I could test the trimmers. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed is an understatement. The clippers are equally solid. I can now shave my head in almost half the time with these over my old and tired corded set.I have asked barbers at the military barber shop on post many times what they prefer for their daily use setup. If something like this existed - especially for this price - back then, I am sure they would have these in every bay. Hands down the best investment I have made in my grooming kit.They have a nice heft but are not heavy. Feels solid in the hand and easy to maneuver for those that 'cut' their own hair. Fantastic guard selection. Included charging cables are icing on the cake. Well packaged. My only complaint - and I would have HAPPILY paid for it if offered - is that there is no included stand/charging station. However, I feel that this is a non-issue. If I can find one by the brand, I will happily add it to my kit.Bottom line - BEST DEAL EVER for home barbers. Period.Thank you for reading.

CLIPPER:Wireless clippers have proved to be a GAME-CHANGER in my hair cutting game. This is the second pair of wireless clippers I’ve owned. Compared to the first, I’d say these clippers are lighter, quieter and fit better in my hand. The body is a metal handle with a plastic head which makes the overall machine feel very sleek and professional! The lever clicks in increments, removing the guess-work from my lever play! The motor hits two speeds which I imagine will come in handy when you’re doing detail work for fades. Last but not least, the clippers include an LED display that shows the battery life! These things come with all the non-standard features!(6-month Update): these clippers are STILL my go to! The battery life seems to hold up! Even when I’m taking my sweet time with my mid-fades, say about 1.5 hours (I’m not the fastest) I can still get in three full haircuts on a single charge! Still feels great in my hand! Another feature I didn’t realize was a thing was the ‘crunch’ technology: the blades make an accentuated (more than usual) crunch noise to let you know the hair is cutting. Awesome!TRIMMER:This is my first pair of wireless trimmers so I’m excited to own them right off the bat. The trimmer is powerful and trims really close, making for great guidelines in my fades. It comes with 4 guards. They are all plastic but feel very solid and premium. The trimmers also come with the LED display!(6-month Update): I’ve since started growing out my facial hair and this trimmer keeps me nice and groomed. Pulling double-duty on my face and my hair, this thing still barely ever needs to be charged! My go-to trimmer indeed!GUARDS:The guards have a PREMIUM feel as they sport metal attachments and are made of a more solid plastic. They don’t feel flimsy like my other guards and I can already tell that they attach cleanly to the clippers without any of that misalignment I sometimes get with plastic wahl guards! In fact, I see that all of the plastic components in this kit feature a more solid, glossy finished plastic and don’t feel cheap in the slightest! They include a half guard and a 1.5 guard which is a MAJOR PLUS! I do wish the guard set went up to 8 but let’s face it, I only use up to 2 with my hair so it’s far from a complaint!OVERALL:I’ve never own Babyliss clippers but I imagine Novah is aiming to compete with their level of presentation. Premium guards and incremental lever-play on top of an already sleek looking machine make for easily the most impressive set of clippers I’ve owned to date. Big ups to Novah on their products!!!(6-month Update): half a year in and these are STILL my favorite set of clippers and trimmers for my hair! This combo is by far the best haircutting investment I’ve ever made!

Four stars simply because if I turn the setting on low, it still leaves razor burn/cut marks on my kids necks! Otherwise, the kit is great. Very fancy, high-end looking. I was overly impressed when I opened the box. It is so nice not to have to plug it in, too. Charges quickly. I have four boys and their hair ranges from fine and thick to coarse/wavy and thick. I use the smaller one and attachments on my son with the fine hair (because his hair really sticks to his scalp with the clippers) and it works great. I would highly recommend this set, especially if you're just a SAHM like me, looking to save $100+ a month on hairdressers, lol! Works fantastic!
