Satisfied a Cranky Mom!
I purchased this particular chair because of the ergonomic design and German engineering that seemed would significantly increase ease of use and comfort. My 89-year-old mother took to it right away and finds it very comfortable. She is quite mobile still, using a Walker - but for the days where we must traverse long corridors of doctor and hospital complexes, or can’t park close to our destination - it has been very very useful and easy to fold up, unfold, maneuver, and it is light to load and unload from a trunk/hatch back.I have sat in the chair and also find it pretty comfortable. If she ever needs a more robust chair with the larger wheels, this company will be my first choice for an upgrade.I will say, with use, there are some components getting loose - but I’m sure a wrench can fix that up - when I get around to that part of my to-do list.Overall, extremely pleased with the product - as is a woman who is not pleased by much these days!Thank you for creating a product that is so comfortable for the disabled/elder, easy for the caregiver to lift and maneuver, appears to be well-made and sturdy, and has a stylish design (comparatively).

STURDY, WELL MADE, ATTRACTIVE, LIGHTWEIGHT
This is an excellent product! It’s sturdy, easy to assemble, lightweight and comfortable. It’s also extremely easy to push with my 195lb husband in it. I’m a 68 yr old, out of shape, female and find it very easy to put in the trunk and to take it out.It took me a long time to find the perfect chair and this is it! I highly recommend!

Light weight, sturdy, nice back support, Did I say it was lightweight? Very important .
Two weeks old..This is a very nice, well-made, comfortable, and very lightweight wheelchair. However, the piece that holds the foot support in place fell off on its own for no reason. When I called to get that part replaced, I was given a price and shipping charges… hold on, I had it for two weeks and had normal use and that little piece popped off and you want me to pay six dollars for the part and $15 for shipping for something that was not my fault? Bless her heart, the agent went to her supervisor and got permission to ship it to me no charge. Something that should’ve been done right from the start, but I appreciate it. I would definitely buy this wheelchair again if I needed one. I recommend this wheelchair, although not cheap.

Works well and easy for everyone to handle
We previously used a higher-end "medical grade" chair for years but it finally wore out. The problem was that the old chair was very heavy and was hard to fold, especially for my wife. This chair, however, is light, easy to fold up and put in the car. The smaller wheels can be challenging on less-than-perfect city streets, and the handle design is poor for long days pushing it. The hand brakes also have sharp edges that tend to catch your hands when pushing uphills or rougher terrain. I'll probably just file these down a bit. Overall, though, it is a good product.

User friendly & light weight
This transport chair is wonderful. It fits easily in either the trunk of my car or the back seat. It's very light weight (25 lbs) for a wheel chair type device. We use it a lot to get mom wherever she needs to go when traveling to the doctors offices or where ever. It has been a life saver!Note: this is a transport chair, not a wheel chair (the wheel's are very small and the person riding in the chair can not move themselves by hand-turning the wheels, but is great if you are pushing someone in the chair.

Ideal transport chair for a petite person
We bought this transfer wheelchair for my daughter who is petite at only 4' 10" tall and 120 lbs. Strongback offers 3 seat width choices, so we ordered the 16" wide seat. I was a bit skeptical because of the cost, but to my surprise it fits her perfectly while providing good back support for outings. It's easy to navigate around, wheels are solid and roll smoothly over surfaces, folds easily for storage in my car's trunk, and handbrakes lock securely. The seat material has a decent cushion and seems well made. It should last us a few years. Like others, I've purchases so many transfer wheelchairs in the past that never fit properly or hold up. We've had it for 2 weeks now and she feels very secure in it while we're pushing her around. My only disappointment is that the wheel cover popped off after our first outing. And it doesn't seems to securely snap back in place ( but it's mostly for aesthetics). Otherwise we are thrilled with this wheelchair.

Best designed chair available
This chair is very thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and safety for the user. It has a uniquely designed frame that is curved and provides excellent back support. Most chairs require that the occupant sit with back and legs at a 90 degree angle which is fatiguing. For those with neurological conditions that cause rigidity, it is difficult to safely transition into standard wheel chairs without sliding out. This chair solves that problem. The other great features include: 1 ) light weight for easy loading into car and easy effort for caregiver to push, 2) maneuverability, 3) curved arms that are comfortable and allow the chair to slide under a chair or table, 4) easy to use footrests that may be moved into and out of use with little effort, 5) wheels that go over bumps and thresholds without difficulty. We did encounter a problem within the first 2 days of using the chair. The brake on one side would not release and we could not fix it following the manual provided. I contacted Strongback Mobility and with the help of Leta the Operations Manager we were able to determine that the problem was a lose set screw where the brake attached to the chair frame. I was able to tighten the screw with the allen wrench that came with the chair in less than a minute and we have been rolling along happily since. The only other thing that we have encountered is that if you bump the chair against a door frame it is possible to knock the hubcaps off. They are easy to pop back on but watch out or you may leave them behind in a doctor's office. We bought 2 of these chairs, one for home and one for the car. They have been a great and have made caring for my husband much less stressful and much safer. I recommend the chair and also that you carry the tool kit provided with you just in case something gets loose.
