Good comb
Does a great job. Combs through nicely and helps keep the beard manageable. Smells nice too. Seems to be well built.

Excellent, basic comb. After five years: durable, compact, and very functional. High-quality and built-to-last.

The best I've found... But not perfect.
While this is a very high quality product, it does have one flaw. (at least the one I got did) As noted by some of the other reviewers, the comb part of the folding comb does not want to stay open when using the comb. Tightening the screw does no good as it is designed to only screw in so far so that over-tightening doesn't crack the wood. The solution: I used some very thin (about 1 mm thickness) flexible vinyl to make two washers to fit on each side of the rotating comb part. It makes it very snug and shouldn't wear out for a long time if ever. The difficult part was getting the hand-cut tiny washers to get in place so that I could put the screw through to hold it all together. I actually used a very, VERY tiny amount of superglue to hold the washers to the comb so that it could slide in without the washers losing their place. Just a dot of superglue on each side of the washers with a toothpick was sufficient. I let that dry while pressing it tightly then it slid in place with no issues. I'm surprised that this was overlooked by the company as quite a few people have mentioned this same problem. Thus the 4 instead of 5 stars. This is still a wonderful quality comb and can be made perfect with just those two tiny washers. I also applied some super fine sandpaper to knock down the very tip of the comb to a more rounded shape as it was a little sharper than I liked and felt like it was cutting my ear when I combed closely towards that direction. Again, easily solved but would have been nice if these small issues didn't have to be addressed by the consumer.I highly recommend this comb. I carry it every day in my pocket. It's a little thicker than non-wooden combs but it's not a big deal. It's made of Sandalwood and the natural smell is wonderful.Fully open the comb is exactly 7 1/16 inches (179 mm) long. The closed position dimensions are 30 mm x 107 mm x 13 mm at the widest points (not counting the screw which sits flush about 1 mm each side). The actual teeth of the comb spans 64 mm from first to last saw cut. It fits nicely in my pocket and is great to have handy for a quick moustache and beard combing. I find myself combing my beard just to smell the Sandalwood.Buy this comb for yourself or as a gift to a fellow bearded one. You will love it. You may even be lucky enough to get one that stays open when you receive it. You can always add the washers for more snug operation if you need to.

Beautifullly Made Beard & Mustache Comb
The Striking Viking is a beautifully made wooden beard & mustache comb. The teeth are perfectly finished, shaped, and spaced to smoothly work out any tangles without pulling on your beard. The rich, tightly grained, Sandlewood that it’s made from is a pleasure to see and hold. And it has a pleasant natural, mild Sandlewood scent. It comes with a well made leather pouch with a soft interior lining.I purchased a wooden comb from another company, and it’s an okay beard comb, but the teeth were angled and spaced slightly diffferent than the Striking Viking’s teeth, causing it to skim over my beard, rather than combing through it.While this Striking Viking beard comb might be a little more expensive than some others I’ve seen, it’s definitely worth it.This beard comb is so nice, I’m thinking about buying one for my wife, but I’ll probably wait until the Coronavirus “stay-at-home” order is lifted, before giving it to her.

Very nice beard comb
Very nice beard comb; I don't have a lot of facial hair to get through, just a goatee, but it's fairly thick and this comb glides through it nicely. Teeth are very regular, well-polished, and the spacing is fine enough to get knots out while being wide enough not to tug unpleasantly. The finish is just wax on the bare wood, which means the sandalwood smell is very apparent; personally I like the scent, but green sandalwood does have a different scent than red sandalwood. It's compact enough for a pocket, and the teeth are well-protected from accidental breakage by the folding design. The nut is simple to tighten with a philips head screwdriver: mine came fairly loose, but five seconds of fiddling got it tight enough to stay open on its own and prevent accidentally opening in a pocket. And, as a fan of exotic woods, I love the interlocking grain pattern. After having done some research, I've found that the "green sandalwood" used in combs like these is most likely verawood, commonly known as Argentine lignum vitae. This is one of the densest and most durable woods in the world, which is probably why it's so popular for combs. Just makes me love the comb even more, since I have something of an affinity for this wood and the (distantly) related true lignum vitae.Well-made, attractive, and functional. Would definitely recommend.

Alright comb
First off it feels and looks well built. I really like it outside of most of the teeth on the comb are miss shaped. So some work fine but some grab too much. I wish the QC was better.
