Typically a size 6 is Medium, size 7 is large, etc. I am in a Medium (6), but when I was pregnant many years ago, I wore a size (7) Large. I am 5 ft 3, 167lbs. Hope this helps.

Q: Can someone advise length / inseam of the mid thigh verses the regular boy short.

The crotch area has 13cm from center to edge in back and about 10.5 cm in front, on size medium. Depending on your current boy shorts, the comparison will be different. I will tell you though, these stretch out of shape easily while you wear them. By the end of the day they are very loose around your butt and thigh.

Based on the stretchiness of the material you can get away with a 7 If you were an 8.
