Optimum Nutrition Platinum Hydrobuilder Protein Drink, Strawberry Shake, 4.59 Pound

Short Review:Product provides a great mix of essential recovery and muscle building elements, is more expensive than if you were to buy elements individually, mixes well even in a solo cup, and like most protein based supplements - you will want to stick with "chocolate".Long Review:Taken twice a day to supplement a 1-gram of protein per pound of lean bodyweight diet regiment coupled with a standard weightlifting program produced 15lbs of lean muscle and significant strength gains over 2 months - following a 3 month break. Which means of course that 'muscle memory' played a large role, but still i strongly feel that this product allowed for a faster return to peak condition with faster recovery times and more powerful end results.I, like many people, am pretty lazy when it comes to supplements - so even though i realize that i can buy the creatine and aminos and such individually and mix them into a standard protein; its just not going to happen. So, accepting my laziness, i am comfortable giving this 5 stars. For those of you less-lazy, you may want to scour the web for each element individually, check on shipping costs, compare vendors, etc - but is it really worth the $10 bucks a month?Anyway - since there are only 40 servings per container, i have tried all the flavors - do yourself a favor and stick with the chocolate. The strawberry and vanilla are not disgusting, but if i were the one naming the flavors, they probably wouldn't have been "strawberry" or "vanilla" if you know what i mean. The chocolate tastes like chocolate - which is saying a lot since i have tried zillions of supposedly 'chocolate' flavored supplements over the years...So that's about it - i don't review items unless either they really work well like this one, or are total ...Enjoy,Ryan

I'm amazed by the amount of FAKE reviews over here, that's why I decided to start writing reviews now, even though I've been buying here for years.I think amazon loses a lot of credibility when it allows people that didn't buy a product to write a review about it. This is absurd!!!The review:This is a really good product. I live in Brazil and it is very expansive over here (about U$ 150), so every time one friend of mine go to the USA he brings it to me.If you work out properly and have a good diet, this is a great choice. I saw some comments saying that it makes you became a bit fat - it did not happen to me.I saw other comments saying that the strawberry flavor is amazing... For me it was HORRIBLE. I just bought it again last week, but this time I bought Chocolate Flavor.

First I would like to say that I have only been using this product for a few days. With this said, I can not speak to the results of it yet. I have always been a big fan of the Gold standard and Intek proteins because of great result and the taste is pretty easy to go down. I was hoping that the Platinum Strawberry line would be similar but this is not the case. The taste is pretty bad. I will try to update this rating after a while of using this product for awhile but as of now I don't think I would recommend it.I've been using this product for awhile now and have seen great results. Still not fond of the taste and the chunckiness but I do like the results.
