Pooch said, "No-No"!
We adopted a our Pooch before this past Christmas. She came from a very scary place, and has many issues. One of these issues, is to not want to eat. I cannot tell you how much money was spent on different bags and bags of dog food. We tried EVERY brand out there . Some designers dog food was over 50.00/ bag. We tried canned, freeze dried, raw, raw coated, moist...on and on.This product came up, and it was instant rejection...not even a nibble.I am not stating this food is bad, or that other pooches would not like it...I have no way to tell...it is a struggle every day, still, to get her to eat anything.

Cleared up my golden’s chronic ear infections!
I’ve been using this food along with their Magical Dinner Dust (beef) and within a month my dog’s ear infection went away. He has had ear trouble/allergies for 3 years! Plus I don’t have to beg him to eat it like I used to. He eats every bite and then chases his empty bowl across the floor! Couldn’t be happier with this brand, I have tried SO MANY!

Loved it initially but...
My dog loved this kibbles initially but then he started having gastrointestinal issues including diarrhea. I stopped the kibbles, gave him the standard boiled chicken breast and rice for 1.5 weeks and he was back to normal. As soon as I restarted the kibbles, the diarrhea returned so I had to chuck the rest. Maybe this was just a bad batch because he ate the first bag I bought and had no troubles at all. Oh well...

Thumbs down from my chihuahua
I had high hopes for this one because my chihuahua does like Stella and Chewy patties. But no, she won't even try it. She is notoriously picky though. It does appear to be a high quality kibble with grain though, so thus 3 stars. But if my chihuahua could type, it would definitely be zero stars.

“Mikey Likes It”
I have 2 furbabies. Both are very picky. They ate this one although I put gravy from their canned food on it.

Liked by a dog that has always eaten raw.
My dog has been on a raw diet his entire life. Now at age 15 he has become finicky about what he is eating. My friend who also fed raw and kibble always was talking highly of Stella & Chewy’s kibbles. I thought I would give it a try. He ate his entire breakfast without a problem. I guess he likes it. The kibble is small enough that he doesn’t have to chew it much before swallowing it. This is good if it is his teeth that are bothering him but it is also bad because without chewing, he will develop more tarter on his teeth.I like that the food is made here in the USA. I like that the expiration date is Dec. 15, 2022 and I just received it July, 2021.So far no loose stools. If he keeps eating it, then we will keep buying it.

This was a hit with my friend’s two dogs
I ordered this for my friend's two dogs and they both loved this as can be seen from the photos. It is made from grass-fed beef (1st ingredient) and New Zealand lamb (14th ingredient). The first several ingredients are beef, pork meal, sweet potato, potato, pork fat (preserved w/mixed tocopherols), sunflower oil, natural pork flavor, pork, lamb meal, beef liver, tomato pomace, dicalcium phosphate, ground flaxseed, lamb, calcium carbonate, potassium chloride, salt, choline chloride, taurine, salmon oil, beef cartilage, dried kelp, etc. I have no idea where these ingredients are sourced from. This is grain and legume free. Note that unless a dog has a grain allergy, it is not a good idea to feed them grain-free foods exclusively. The reason is that vets are finding an association between heart disease (such as canine dilated cardiomyopathy) and grain-free dog foods. This disease is mostly associated with the foods that have peas, lentils, other legumes or potatoes as their main ingredients and this food potato. Nevertheless, I feel it is okay to feed this food to a dog only to supplement a dog's diet and not as an exclusive meal. The current price of $19.99 for a 3.5lb bag is competitively priced on the expensive side.

I have mixed feelings
I have 7 small dogs and a new food is always an experiment. I mostly do homemade for my dogs but like them to be accepting of commercial dog foods in case there ever was an emergency so I try new ones now and then. I have mixed feelings about this one. On the plus side, it smells good, comes in very tiny kibbles and all of my dogs, without exception accepted it readily and had no trouble eating it, even my 3 lb'er who has very few teeth and even my 2 very picky dogs liked it. BUT and it's a big one, it gave 2 of my dogs, the picky ones, a severe case of diarreah. I immediately removed the food from their diet and am hesitant to retry which is a shame because the ingredients are good ones and the company has a great reputation and my dogs did all like it which is rare. Could it have been because it was new? Maybe, but my dogs have their diet changed regularly since I do different homemade recipes on a weekly basis and they get around 3 different dry kibble foods on a rotating basis so their systems are used to change. Not sure what caused the runs with this food but it was a fairly serious case and I will not be trying again.
