This a great bolt action pen. Well built, and a nice clip. Writes nice however I’m kind of an ink snob so I switched out the cartridge with a Schmidt Easy Flow 9000. It fits any Parker style cartridge. I actually bought this in 5 colors. 2 for my wife and 3 for me. She loves hers too!

Heavy and balanced

This is a comfortable writer for me. I like a slightly heavier pen. The ink flows well and smooth, no pooling or leaking. There is a fidgety factor with the bolt action.The bolt action functions easily and smoothly.I write for short periods throughout the day, and I like the solid construction. I suppose that it may be a little heavy for some people. I feel this is more of a desk pen, than a pen you would carry around in a pocket.

This pen is very well made. I really like its solidness and it just feels good in my hand. It seems almost over-engineered. I replaced the standard ink with a Fisher SPR4F Space Pen Black Ink Fine Point Refill which I bought here on Amazon. The Fisher refill, in my opinion, simply writes cleaner and under almost any condition. This combination makes for the perfect pen all for less than $50 total.

This is so far my second pen from Bastion. I have the original size carbon fiber stainless steel pen. I've been using it for... probably going on a year now of daily use as an EDC and office companion.When I found out they had THIS pen which was a tad bit slimmer, I jumped at the chance. My ONLY complaint with the full size model is that in session of long writing, the size can make my hand fatigue pretty quickly. I thought this pen might be a great chance to remedy that problem.This pen did EXACTLY that. This is now my new EDC pen and a great companion for journaling (which I do often). It might not make as much of a BOLD statement when I whip it out due to its slimmer and smaller profile, but it more than makes up for it in comfort! I'm considering ordering several more so I can have multiple colors at a time! My original size pen still makes for a GREAT office companion when editing important documents.DONT HESITATE!
