good value, strong, thoughtful
Love this product. It was packaged so thoughtfully with a zipper storage bag. The sides of all tape rolls are a bit sticky. Thick tapes like this are VERY sticky on the sides. The storage bag gives me a good place to set the tape while using and to store it.The stiff peel-off cover is so much easier than other tapes with softer peel-off material.Learning Curve ExplainedApplication suggestions1)clean & dry surfaces and fingers. number one reason for tape fail is dusty/oily/damp surfaces. if the tape is covered with fingerprints, it's likely to fail. handle the tape by the edges.2)ambient temperature above 65F or keep the roll warm in your pocket.3)mark the tape placement! this tape is really flexible and stretchy after the cover is peeled. reapplying is a pain.4)press into place firmly along the tape, then peelRemoval suggestions:1) ambient temp above 65F or warm the tape a bit.2) all tape adhesive dries out a bit. this tape also sort of "shrink wraps" to surfaces and stiffens. warming it directly helps.3) if you can, work the end or edge of the tape up with your finger tips, rolling it against itself.4) or, work a sharp tool under the tape. slowly wiggle and pry it up off the surface. this is strong (basically permanent) tape, it can take a few minutes to remove.

This Will Lower Your Blood Pressure
I used this to hold up some lights to a stone wall at a fair. This won't hold up a Boulder, but 1lb. lights aren't a problem. Just don't try to PULL it off. Brut strength doesn't work here. Slowly twirl and pull; a bit of oil helped me, like lip balm.

Kelasy Tape
My goal was to use the Kelasy Extra Large Double-Sided Tape in my RV though after trying it on various items in my home I am not so sure it will do the job I was hoping it would do. The tape is very sticky and does hold, just not what I was hoping for. I have used it on pictures to adhere to multiple surfaces and it has held up very well. After a year I find that it no longer sticks and starts to come loose. This isn't so bad but I had hoped for a more long-term product. I may try some museum tape next to see if that is closer to what I am hoping for. Depending on what you are looking for this might be the product for you. It is thick, sticky, and holds for a good amount of time. The product certainly does stick better to some surfaces than others, such as glass and smooth surfaces.

Does the job
This clear tape works magic on our school's concrete blocks walls. It can safely be removed and reused. Great solution when you don't want to use hooks.

Not impressed
Either I ask too much or I'm missing something that the other reviewers see that I don't. First of all, the tape comes with no instruction or directions other than the checked and x'd pictures on the cover of the box, half of which were totally obscured by a label that could not be removed to see what was there. The label had a code that could be scanned with the transparency app which I thought might include further directions so I downloaded the app and scanned the code only to see the name of the product - great, no help. The description of the tape indicates that it can stick to "almost anything with a smooth surface so you can stick anything anywhere, such as fix the carpet or paste picture frame, poster, wall sticker, wall decor, etc." Those are the exact words of the description in the Amazon listing. The listing's photos show a living room with what appears to be a painted surface where pictures are hung, presumably with this tape and that is mainly what I was looking for. I thought this would be similar to the magic strips I've used for years. EVERY wall in my house is painted - I found nothing in the description that said not to use it on painted walls. Only when the package arrived did I see that "painted wall" is in the "X" list. Why wasn't this in the description? EVERYTHING shown on the outside of the physical packaging as either appropriate or inappropriate usage of the product should also be listed in the product's description and a label should not be applied over necessary information on the product box - there was plenty of room elsewhere to place that label. After seeing that I could not use this as I originally intended, I decided to try and cut my losses by using it to hang a heavy bell on an aluminum door facing. I cut the tape to fit the entire area of the flush mount where it would otherwise have been screwed into the door and pressed it for the full amount of the time indicated. Later the same day I heard a crash and my beautiful bell was broken in two because the tape didn't hold. To make matters worse, I could not get the tape off the surface of the door frame so now there's a big unsightly blob to greet visitors instead of a beautiful bell. There must be someplace I can use this stuff but I wouldn't trust it to hang anything of value. On top of everything else, I realized that this is the SECOND box of this tape that I ordered, both times thinking that I was getting something I could use on my painted walls and both times finding out that I couldn't only when the box arrived. I'm completely disgusted with myself for doing that but I will not be making that mistake again.

Stong hold for heavier picture frames
After trying a couple other brands, this is my favorite so far. You can tell it's a stronger hold because the clear covering requires a bit of force to peel off. The product does exactly what it sets out to do.With all double-sided tape, I do encourage everyone to go through the proper steps. Picture frames are expensive and you can't afford to have several fall because you didn't take precautions.Step 1: Press the tape firmly to the object and let it set a few minutes. DO NOT stretch the tape to get more mileage because it will cause the objects to slowly melt off the wall.Step 2: Wipe down the chosen wall with rubbing alcohol and let dry. DO NOT skip this step. This will ensure all residual grease/cleaning agents are removed from the wall for maximum stick.Step 3: Remove the clear backing from the tape and stick to the wall. Press on all sides for at least 90 seconds before backing away.NOTE: If you decide to remove your picture, do it very slowly, peeling very gently to protect the wall. I tried removing mine too fast and took patches of the drywall with it.
