Can it be contolled by the Smart Life app? Or do you have to use their app?

You can configure with SmartLife I set mine up and it works fine. It will see the device no problem via bluetooth and then configure the device to connect to your WiFi once you go thru initial setup. Also, it updated the firmware just fine too, make sure you do that the bulbs are pretty slow to respond on the firmware that ships; at least with mine.

Will these fit 220 volts fixtures?

Forget CREE lights. Mine failed in one month of use indoors. They're junk
