Great book
Very powerful book for those interested in economics, especially money and banking. It exposes the terrible state of affairs of the money and banking which Governments world over have created, and provides insights on the ideal money and banking system.

Good historical document
This book is good as a document in the history of ideas and as an explanation of the basic workings of banking and finance. His proposal to revert to a global gold standard seems to me political sci-fi.

Facts about money that should be taught in schools
This is a classic from Rothbard, explaining how money has evolved from pre-history to the almost mysterious complexity of today’s global economy. The objective truths here are explained with great erudition and in the simplest possible terms for laypeople. It is certainly more relevant than ever for our times and until whole populations are taught these facts, people will continue to place hugely inappropriate levels of trust in their governments to look after them, when in fact governments without exception steal wealth continuously from the people, no matter what the political hue.

Classic
I wish this was required reading for Econ majors. Too few books have been written on money, and we often take our currencies for granted. We shouldn't. Rothbard makes a great argument for precious metals, which are the only true monies.

Der Titel spricht Bände
Ein sehr gutes Buch, empfehlenswert für jeden, der das Thema Geld nicht aus der Main Stream Perspektive betrachten möchte.
