Alterna Haircare Winter RX Anti-Static Spray, 3.25 oz

It's a nice product, smells good, seems to work so far. Where I live it gets to -30 and the temp combined with my winter coat make my hair a miserable mess. I have tried fabric sheets, static guard, and leave in conditioners but they either coated my hair or smelled bad. I'm holding out some hope for this product though I have only used it twice so far. Does leave a bit of a film on my hair but doesn't make it look greasy. If static is making you miserable, give this product a try.

This is the stuff that works. The scent is heavy but I find it pleasant. I spray it over dry hair and comb it through. Boom, no more static and it's been working all through the day in a stretch of unwelcome dry, 20 degree days.

I was very disappointed by this spray. Maybe it is my fault for having certain expectations, but it sprayed on too "wet and sticky" for my taste. I might have been able to deal with this if it actually helped with the static, but it didn't. I don't use hairspray on my hair when I wear it down and that is what this felt like. I like my hair to be soft and I didn't like how it felt after using this spray. Also, since I meticulously work towards smoothing and straightening my hair, the wet finish I mentioned earlier is a little counterintuitive to all of my efforts. Standard static guard (like what you spray on clothing) works better - but does smell a little funny at first.

Well it works to keep the flyaways at bay and static doesnt bother me when I use this on dry hair, but OMG does it stink! Think of baby powder on steroids: heavy sweetish smell that LASTS forever. Would not repurchase. Plus the 3.25 oz can for $28 isnt such a great deal.

I had high hopes for Alterna Winter RX but when I sprayed it on, it worked immediately, but results carried. I tried spraying on my brush right after I put a scarf on and this helped. It also has a nice scent.

I have very straight, fine hair (no body) that tends to fly away in the dry winter months. I have had trouble finding a hair spray that isn't too heavy and sticky, yet controls the static. This is it. I would give this 5 stars for the product, but dropped a star because it is pretty pricey. I would still buy it though.

I suffer from fine hair and in the winter it clings to my face with the dry air. I need a static remover to deal with it. I had been using one that was discontinued and had a hard time finding a replacement. This does take the static out without enameling it with hair spray. It also has a great coconut fragrance to it.

This product is highly over priced for one thing. It also doesn't work. And to make it even worse, it smells awful . Please don't waste your money.
