Got this to set up a 3 monitor for my PC. Works great and have had no issues with this! Does not come with a cable but if you need more HDMI cable connections for your PC, this is the product for you then!

Good adaptation

Everyone knows DVI-I/DVI-D is superiod to HDMI; however, it's harder and harder to find modern monitors with these types of inputs.This adapter works really well for both of my outputs to convert to hdmi and pass to newer monitors.Price point is great and not a lot of things can go wrong with this type of adapter (unlike mini/micro-hdmi/dp to hdmi adapters).

while this adapter seems to work fine with my Powerbook G4 DVI port it does not work on my A1103 model Mac Mini. Customer service has been responsive, however as yet no answers. From searching on the internet it appears it may be an Apple issue in that early Mac Mini's, even thought they have a DVI port (witch this adapter fits) can not handle HDMI. The description should include this information so buyers with early an model Mac Mini can be aware. If another answer is presented, I will update. I am only giving 4 stars due to not being able to use it as intended. The quality is fine.

Someone tossed a perfectly good Dell 23 inch gaming monitor. So I salvaged it and checked it out. The monitor still worked on VGA with my old laptop. I noticed the monitor also had a DVI port but I have a Raspberry Pi Model B that outputs to HDMI and in need of a monitor. One of these HDMI to DVI adapters solved the problem. No flickers. Nice steady display.

Some reviews mention that the screw was difficult to tighten by hand, but the product has been improved. The screws now have a slotted end, so you can turn it with a screwdriver. The photos have not been updated to show this. The HDMI conversion worked well for me.

Couldn’t be better or easier! I’m an avid Macintosh user. Graphic designer and photographer and need quality monitors. My MacPro is temporarily unusable and I’ve been using a HP laptop. Editing my photos is a nightmare on that screen. I didn’t even know it was possible to run my Apple Cinema Displays on that laptop. After a lot of research on exactly what I needed I found this. Got it and expected a hassle setting it up. All I had to do was plug it on and I was good to go. Picture quality is amazing. And these are so cheap. Only downside is the adapter plus the DVI male end are so bulky together it seemed like a matter of time before the whole deal snapped off. So I just bought a female to female HDMI coupler. So I just plug a HDMI cable into the laptop and the other end goes to the coupler attached to this adapter and Apple monitor DVI cable. Perfect. Highly recommended!!

These adapters worked like they were supposed to. Needed them to go from a Radio Display to a Computer Monitor. Less expensive than a new cable as I already had the HDMI one and the Radio was DVI. Would buy again if needed. Hope this helps - Bill.....
