BIC Color Collection by Conte Felt Pen

Okay, I don't know what all the hate is about but the color pay off is fine. These are $7 pencils. Are people expecting Prismacolor quality? I don't find myself having to press hard to get any color on the paper. I'm not sure I understand what all the negative reviews are. They're cheap pencils and they work fine. They're black and they look sleek. They do not have the color on the pencil so that kind of sucks but you can look at the lead. Maybe make a color swatch and leave it in the tin if needed. I don't think the pencils are worse than crayola ones--probably the same quality but I don't think they're as terrible as people are saying.

I use coloring as a way to clear my head and come down from anxiety peaks quite a bit. I have an endless supply of coloring stuff at home but I wanted to have something I could bring to work with me to color on my lunch hour to chill out and relax with. I didn't want to spend too much but I didn't want dollar store markers that would dry out in a day.These markers were priced perfectly and they are REALLY rich and lovely in color. They are perfect for lunch hour coloring breaks and they are stored neatly and easily in my desk drawer :) Highly recommended! These markers are great!

I am a marker connoiseur and snob, and I really love these markers. The colors are bright and vibrant! They are great for small details in adult coloring books and do not leave streaks when used for that purpose. I did not experience bleed through or paper balling up on either of the coloring books I tested, but I have certain books that don't work well with markers that work beautifully everywhere else and vice versa - so your mileage may vary. I also like these for my planner / bullet journal and for general doodling. The tin is awesome for on the go. The price was great! If I had a complaint, it would be that there aren't more colors available.

I color with a number of various colored pencils. Some are oil-based and some are wax-based. While the product description does not suggest what these are, they seem to be wax-based to me. I tried them on a variety of paper, both regular weight and card stock. I was able to get a medium pigment from the pencils, generally taking two layers. I could also layer multiple colors and blend with stumps, pencil style blending stick, and wet blending medium.The core of the pencil is hard. It reminds me of Marco Raffine (wax-based) and Tombow Irojiten (enamel based) in that regard. These pencils blend better than either of those brands but the pigment is not quite as deep. The pigment is better than less expensive brands like Crayola and Prang.The pencils are a standard size with a decent core. They sharpen well both with a manual sharpener and with an electric sharpener. The points did not break in sharpening or in use. The wood casing is black throughout – which is kind of fun to watch as you manually sharpen if you have a see-through sharpener.I am really happy with the white pencil in this set. I have been looking for a true white and this one is excellent. It went on so well, I could not see it on white paper and had to try it on cream to see it. I wish the pencils were sold open stock so I could purchase several more of the white one.I created a color chart for the pencils. The pencils are numbered but not named. The colors in the chart reflect the order they are in the metal tin but are not sequential. The numbers are pressed into the wood near the top but they are very small and hard to read. I had to resort to a magnifying glass to read three of them. I will also upload a design that I colored in hopes you can see the white on the white rabbit. It is subtle but it is there.The name of the pencils seem to refer to Bic pens with respect to the colors included. I have yet to figure out which pens they refer to. I wish that they had included one or two flesh tone pencils as without them, the set doesn't work well for coloring designs of people.

I LOVE these markers and originally got them as a gift and when the brown ones started running low on ink, I went to amazon to purchase another set. They are absolutely amazing and the only downside is that there isn’t too much of a variety of colors. If they sold a bigger sized set, I would be happier but overall the stroke of the marker is nice and clean and just feels refreshing to use them compared to sharpies when you can see every stroke you make and having a strong smell, but these markers don’t have any strong scent which is good for kids and prolonged use.

This small set of colored pencils color smoothly with good coverage. At first, after opening the tin, I was dismayed as all the pencil leads seemed rather dark. But after testing them all on a piece of scratch paper, I was happy to see they have plenty of bright colors and nice application. Not sure why the company known for their colorful pens created such a small collection of colored pencils, but at any rate, they are nice to color with.

They are easy to hold and fit comfortable in my hand. I did put pencil grips on mine as my hands cramp easily. I love the color the pencils put off and the led isn't super brittle either.

Great colors and the will last a long time..

I bought these on sale, and I was greatly surprised at the great quality! First of all, these are woodless pencils, and second, the laydown is so vivid, like ink. It is almost opaque. Very creamy and gorgeous colours. I usually use artist grade pencils, but I know that having different brands of pencils gives more flexibility to the technique you can use in a drawing. This pack is welcome in my supplies! I think this is a special product, and not intended to be sold forever. I am buying more, and I would advise anyone to hurry up and take stock. If you like Derwent Inktense and Prismacolor Premiere, you will like these.
