Great chair, greater service
I ordered this chair because I have a surgery coming up, I selected this chair based on the reviews, price point and I loved that it was dual motor. Has all the functionality I could need and it matches the colors in my bedroom. I ordered the size large, I’m 5’-6” female and it’s a perfect size and also for my husband who is under 6ft. But he better stay out of my chair!! I received the chair in less than a week but when we were putting it together, we realized we received two right hand armrests. I contacted the seller on Saturday and wasn’t expecting a reply until Monday but I received contact back on Sunday from Wayne!! Received the correct armrest today and it’s complete. The communication was EVRYTHING! Thanks again Wayne, you are awesome! The chair is very comfortable, well made and super easy to assemble. I’ll be spending about 6 months in this chair while I recover, I will have to sleep in it as well. I think it will do the job. Motors are quiet and the controllers are simple to use.

GREAT chair, responsive company!
I am a self-proclaimed, never-intended-to-be expert on powered recliners. These are well-built chairs. I've had the pleasure of sitting in both the 9205 and the 9298. Personally, I purchased the 9205. The company was super-responsive to answering questions and even sent me pictures of certain parts of the chair (arms, seat, etc.) that I had measurement questions about.– Go to this company's website and see ALL the styles/models they have to offer. Your Amazon search may not bring them all up. There are nuances from model to model, especially in arm styles (poofy or high/solid), also footrest length. NOTE: If seat width is important to you, as it was to me, don't read into the graphic you saw, and pay really close attention as the graphic portrays the seat width to INCLUDE an inch or two under the arm rests, which is not useable seat. What appears to be a 27-inch wide seat on the graphic is really just 24 inches wide. This is all well and good as long as you know this before your purchase, not after. The controls are straightforward. The lift function needs its own button. As it is, once the footrest is down, keep pressing the footrest down button to activate the lift. There's no issue here, but I can see my elderly mom not understanding to "let up" on the button once the footrest is down, if you don't want the lift to activate. Frankly, I did not need the lift, thank goodness. The seat width was the dealbreaker start on my search for a great chair. I'm told the seat box is made out of pine, unlike certain expensive, name brand, American-made chairs that are made from OCB or particle board that will disintegrate over time. I've sat in every recliner in way too many stores, and I have yet to find the perfect recliner. The seat width of those average about 22 inches, with a 23-inch chair to be found occasionally. This blows me away in that, what do these designers think, everybody is a skinny Minnie? For the record, I want butt room for myself, but I'm average-size. My fuzzy companion, Spence, the long-haired dachshund must have a seat beside me. The Irene House chair has ample room for both of us, although a 26 or 27-inch chair would have been best. The useable seat area is about 24 inches. I can't seem to get more than about three years out of expensive chairs like lazy-boy and catnapper. I have purchased the five-year warranty on the chairbox. We shall see how it holds up. It does seem the cushion is a little softer on the 9205 than the 9298, but overall, the seat is very comfortable, not too sinky and not too firm either. To repeat, the customer service has been terrific. It's kinda scary buying a chair from Amazon, but I am very pleased by my purchase, and feel like they'll stand behind the chair purchase should an issue arise. I hope this is helpful.

Small & Mighty
We wanted a good quality, stylish and smaller sized BarcaLounger styled chair to fit within our mother’s assisted living residence that was easy for her to use and comfortable so that she could rest while enjoying a book or watching television, and safely fall asleep in the chair without concern for her safety (falling). The Blue Chenille fabric option was the perfect choice for our elderly mother. In addition, the technical features of the lounge chair—recline position with legs and feet up, and especially the forward-tilt feature for mom to be able to go from chair to walker—we’re huge selling features!!!! It even had massage features which we have yet to access. She loves it!We do too, as it is very comfortable for any family member to pay a visit with mom.The only downside is the manufacturer opted to ship using FedEx, and they shipped the chair in two separate boxes, so we had to wait another week until the second box was delivered as supposedly FedEx lost the second shipment.Customer service was excellent and helped resolve the issue satisfactorily. I received a response right away and felt like there was an actual human helping me. I urged them to use UPS shipping instead as they seemed to have had similar issues with FedEx.FYI: the chair requires assembly and we had the chair assembled easily by our mother’s assisted living maintenance man.

Very nice for price
I wanted a smaller recliner, and this is the perfect size for a 5'3" lady. The color is beautiful (a light cool beige). The upholstery fabric is soft, quite sturdy, and cleans easily (this has not been tested on any real dirt but just a small spill). Mechanics work fine, no problems. Only small complaint is that the seat could be a little more padded, a little more comfortable for long term TV and reading. I see some complaints about the space made when reclined way back (maybe for people who want to sleep in it??). This is not an issue for me. For the money, great chair. I hope it continues to serve me well for year's...time will tell.
