Novatel USB760 problems with seller GalaticSales
Bought the Verizon Novatel Wireless USB760 from GalacticSales. I have been using a Novatel USB760 for 10+ yrs on a grandfathered VZW data plan. I wanted to have a back-up devise in case something would ever happen to my current USB760. The USB760 I bought from GalaticSales did not authenticate. I took the Novatel USB760 to a VZW company store to get activated, and VZW staff was unable to get it to work. As stated in the GalaticSales listing, "These are all new but do not come in retail packaging. They ONLY CONTAIN the USB Modem. These are not setup for prepaid use". I do not have a prepaid plan, it is the regular VZW post-paid 3G grandfathered data plan. Again, I was unable to activate the USB760 purchased from GalacticSales. There is only ONE way to stay grandfathered. The ONLY way NOT to get converted over, is do not touch your plan. If you want a new device, pay retail for it and do an ESN swap - that will keep your existing plan unchanged. I am going to try another seller that states in their listing "Brand New in Box". You should too. Sure hope the VZW grandfathered data plan stay around a while longer.

could not use........Verizon would not activate this product due to it being obsolete.

Defective device...please help and exchange it for me...
I called Verizon to help me install this and we tried and tried...finally after several different attempts in several different ways; she came to the conclusion that the device was defected...I do not know how to return this item because I do not have my receipt from Amazon...I would like to exchange it for a working one...can you please help me? I do not want my money back I just want one that works!

It was locked. The whole point of getting the piece is for it to be utilized. In order for it to be used the seller must include the code/paasword that was used with the aircard. Aside from this important point the piece seemed good, but since the seller wouldn't email the code, I couldn't use it
