Reading only negative reviews for a lot of these enclosures made me very skeptical about buying one, even this one. But I really needed to know if my m.2 drive died and I see a lot of praise for UGREEN products on youtube and amazon, so I figured why not? I also liked the grey tones and style of the enclosure, it looks cool :PThe outer shell easily slides off with a click and inside is a place to put your drive with a simple rotating thumb 'brace' to hold the m.2 drive down. It comes with a thick short USB-C to USB-A cable and a USB-C to USB-C cable, along with a thermal pad and some instructions.I kind of wish the indicator light was on the "push" side of the enclosure because of the way it sits facing away from me when plugged into my USB 3.0 hub. But it was easy enough to see the lights reflection around my desk, not worth knocking a star over that.My m.2 drive showed up in Windows, no problem. I left it plugged in for about 30 minutes. It never got hot at all and was easy to handle (despite was some reviews may say). I no longer need the enclosure at the moment, but it's good quality and you never know, so I'm keeping it. Would definitely recommend this enclosure to others!

Got this for an enclosure for 512gb Kingston NVME drive as an external drive for a Mac Mini. Do note in case you're one to not read the fine print this is only 10gb speed, not full 40 of Thunderbolt but it says that. And it works just fine.

Great product! Worked flawlessly with my WD Black M.2. It's built pretty solid too! Would recommend most ANY UGreen product! This one is definitely a winner!

I purchased the Ugreen SSD Enclosure to assist in me migrating my Windows data/partition to a bigger M.2 SSD as well as providing a permanent home for the smaller M.2 SSD. I appreciated the tool-less installation of the SSD onto the chassis. I am not a big fan of the design of the rubber girdle you slip over the enclosure but it does provide a good grip over the slippery metal surface.It includes a strip of thermal pad which I am dubious of its effectiveness as it doesn't seem to make any or barely any contact with the surrounding metal sheath.

Well-made, product, does the job exactly as needed. Can be used for multiple different sized SSDs. Used it to extract the information from the SSD of a dead laptop. Now I can reuse that SSD in the UGreen holder as an extra external drive in a different computer. Comes with two cables, one C to C and the other C to A so it will work with most all computers and it should withstand be jostled around as it comes with an internal shock absorbing pad and an external case cover that absorbs shock as well. What more could you want at a very reasonable price?

I had bought the wrong size SSD and when it came in it was tiny, but I couldn't return it. I got this to put it in so I could use it. It's working great. I didn't have any trouble getting it installed into the adapter and it is working fine without any problems whatsoever. It's very fast to me. I'm not a gamer, but I do some graphics work and Excel and this is giving me plenty of storage and I don't ever have to wait if I do a save or a open. I'm very pleased.This is made well and seems sturdy.

Seems to be a nice item. Memory stick clicked right in. Nice to have cables of different types. Seems to function as a regular drive. Nice looking unit also. Item as described and delivered promptly. Shipping cost seemed a bit high but this may not be under control of the seller! All in all, happy with purchase!

This review is for the UGREEN NVME SSD Enclosure. The enclosure is easy to use. The problem is there is almost no cooling for the NVME SSD and if you are making a large file transfer the drive gets very hot. I had intended to use it as an external drive for backups but ended up installing the drive directly inside one of my computers. The enclosure itself would be fine if it had better heat transfer to keep the drive cool. I have another external drive with a HDD inside which is not as fast as an NVME SSD but stays cool and is completely reliable. I have other UGREEN products that are very good.
