Making Memories Slice Tag Maker Kit

I was really excited to make my own tags, but this tagmaker isn't the way to go. Nearly every time I put a tag in there, it crimps it incorrectly, thereby ruining your tag rim and the paper you put in it. I do purchase the tag rims from Making Memories, but instead I use a hammer to crimp the edges.I have also noticed that the selection of tag rims in the store is not as large as it used to be, so you could invest in this and then have nothing to use it for. I suggest using the ball peen hammer from the tool kit if you want to make your own tags.

I enjoy being able to make custom tags as embellishments for my scrapbooking pages and cards. Yes, it is basically a crimper, but it does the job simply and efficiently. I suggest cutting just inside the lines when cutting out the templates; they seem to fit better inside the rims.

This thing is literally only used for crimping the tag rims around the paper - The rims comes in 3 sizes - slice encourages you to use this with the tagmaker cartridge - I opted to NOT use that. I've used the large rings - cut the 2" circles, stick the paper in, put it in the tagmaker and crimp.It's great to make tags but that's about it. It adds an embellishment to plain paper.
