This is a really fun and clever tool for making homemade ice cream cookies with consistency, and without the usual mess. It's well-designed and relatively easy to use, you just press the metal ring into your tub of ice cream, and arrows on the handle guide you on which direction to twist it to cut out a perfect sandwich-sized scoop. Then you simply press the plunger to release the ice cream right onto your cookie base, top it off, and you're good to go! The quality feels solid, with a sharp enough metal ring to cut through even firm ice cream, and the plastic wires do a great job providing support and lifting the scoop out cleanly. It's a great serving size for an ice cream cookie for an adult, and works surprisingly well. It’s also easy to clean, which is always a plus. The wires might eventually stretch and loosen a bit if you use it a lot with harder ice cream, because they are a plastic wire material instead of metal like some of the images make it seem, but so far mine’s held up great. Time will tell in the end! You might need to smooth out the ice cream occasionally to keep scooping efficiently as well, but it's overall still very convenient, and at a great price! It’s perfect for a fun DIY night with the kiddos! Highly recommended for anyone looking to make some tasty treats easily!

While I enjoy the concept of making ice cream sandwiches. It really depends on what kind of ice cream you are making. We make homemade ice cream and it doesn't seem to want to let go as easily. So for what I need it for it has not been great. I can definitely see this working well with the carton of ice creams shown in the reviews. Make sure the ice cream is a bit solid because if it is too soft it will give it the same issue we are having I am assuming. It sticks to the metal piece. When we do manage to get it to work, the wire in the middle cuts it into four triangles so while I have not found out its purpose, it makes taking the ice cream and putting it into the cookies a bit of a tedious job. We are having to put the pieces together as compact as possible and smooth it over with a spoon to get it not look weird around the border. Great concept, just not a great execution for us. Still could be a hit for a family activity with children. Not so much adults! lol

I debated between four and five star review. I really like this little gadget. You have to kind of finesse it though. I did these cookies with homemade ice cream and homemade cookies. I had to soften the ice cream. Sometimes, I had to use a spoon and pack the ice cream into the utensil. As a sidenote, there’s not a lot of explanation as to how to do this. I don’t know if this is correct as to how I did it, but I basically pushed the utensil down into the ice cream with the plunger up. Then I twisted it kind of pulled it out made sure all four quadrants had ice cream. Then I put that on top of the cookie, depressed the plunger and swiveled it so the ice cream came out. Sometimes you have to push the four quadrants together once they are on the cookie.. Overall, I think they were definitely a lot easier than doing by hand because truthfully, I don’t know how else a person would do this. My grandkids are going to love them.

This device don’t work, very hard to use. It was hard to attach the 2 piece together, the bottom attachment kept falling off. I Do Not Recommend This Product!! It’s cheap for a reason.

This is a great company with innovative and valuable designs. We didn't realize we had their "offset flipper" that is a fabulous improvement when frying/cooking. So we tried a cheaper "knockoff" ice cream sandwich maker first... piece of junk. Stick with Dreamfarm.

Bought this for my friend's kids and they love it!! They made ice cream cookies, and rolled them in sprinkles and mini chocolate chips! My friend said this was a fun gift for her kids.

Easily cuts through ice cream and has a special switch to help release the ice cream onto the biscuit. However the serving is rather large!

Bought for my mum as a birthday present as she remembers her mum having a little machine that made waffles and ice cream sandwiches when she was a kid and it was great memories for her so wanted something she could do the same with and she absolutely loves it!

Works great and makes one awesome ice cream sandwich. Not to much ice cream just perfect.

Can't use it without the metal cutting piece & scooper. Read the reviews after and I was not the only one who didn't get all the pieces. Others have not had their problem resolved. Sent in a complaint to manufacturer and still no reply from seller. Beware this seems like a shady and sketchy seller. Don't expect any customer service or help from seller and also don 't expect a refund.
