This is a great knife. A bit more weight than I had imagined, but the 7-inch blade is amazingly sharp and handles well in a variety of tasks. You're not looking at a cheap knife, but you are looking at a good one. Dalstrong makes a powerful looking knife.

I have been debating buying a Dalstrong knife set for a while now (due to the cost)... and finally went for just 1 knife to start, the 12" carving knife. YIKES, its SHARP!!! and VERY VERY well made, very thick and durable steel blade. We love it, and are also terrified of it at the same time LOL. BE CAREFUL if you buy this, its so sharp it will cut your breath just looking at it.

The knives seem a little pricey at first, but once you buy one they are well worth it. My husband now owns three and we use them frequently. They are very sharp and easy to use. Highly recommend this brand!

Rarely do l find a knife of such high quality that amazes me and is affordable! This filet knife blade l personally bent beyond 45 degrees and it sprung back to perfect form. lt comes quite sharp but with a few strokes on a sharpening steel it is truly razor sharp. You can spend more on a knife but it will not deliver more, trust this advice!

I have Myabi, Dalstrong and Global knives. I have paid $100 to $250 for each knife. I have been using this knife for about a month now, and it is definitely my favourite. I am going to order another one after this review. This knife came really sharp out of the box (it easily cuts through papery outer skins of onions - that is one of my expectations and criteria). I really like the depth of the blade and the handle fits my hand better than any of my other knives. I would rather reach for this knife than any other, hence my ordering of a second one. Not sure what I might say as a home cook to let you know this is an honest review, but maybe just saying that is enough. March 19/25 Got my second one today, just as sharp as the first one. Love this knife.
